“What looks both from the outside and the inside like a standard greasy spoon cafe in fact serves the most fantastic food For breakfast and lunch with a very friendly owner, a dedicated team of staff and is spotlessly clean. My veggie option for £10 had two poached eggs on mashed avocado on sourdough, old style baked beans, a piece of hash brown, mushrooms, halloumi and a good size fresh salad. Unbelievably good. My friend had roast beef and Yorkshire pudding and described it as absolutely perfect With the meat being very tender.”

“This morning I took delivery of a beautiful sideboard bought from Barnet Furniture centre. I was phoned to let me know the exact delivery time. It was a large heavy item and both men took great care to get it safely into my house. They did a really good job. Thankyou. I will certainly I will be back to visit the Centre. A great number of items in store, all good quality and well priced. Really helpful and friendly staff.”

“The Oak is a fantastic Chinese takeaway, I've never been to the restaurant itself but every time I have ordered from them it has been a fast delivery and always a friendly face. The food is exceptional and the portions are quite generous (if you're missing the Hot-Wok that closed on colney hatch lane a few years ago this is a perfect alternative). Overall great food and a lot of different menu options, highly recommend.”

“I ordered food here from Deliveroo and I just had to give a good review. I got the dimsum platter mixed for one which had a great variety. I got a spicy beef ramen which was flavourful and actually spicy! Also the portion size for that was really good too, enough for two. I also had some sesame balls which was a nice sweet treat in the end that wasn’t too sickly sweet. Really good quality food and will definitely buy from here again !!”

“We fancied some seafood and headed down to Seawise Street Seafood Bar. We heard lots of good things and were not disappointed. We ordered the squid rings freshly prepared and cooked, and the butterfly King Prawns we asked for the spicy option. I must say they were the tastiest prawns I've ever had. The squid was delicious too. We also brought some cockles which were plump and not at all gritty, dressed crab and some shell on prawns. The crab came with coriander and red onion, which nicely complimented the crab. Very tasty and would highly recommend. Thank you for our tasty dinner.”

“I had an amazing experience at Odos in Barnet. The food was absolutely unbelievable and the service was fantastic from start to finish. I especially enjoyed the brill fish — it was perfectly cooked and full of flavour. I can’t wait to go back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal.”

“We just came out of this feeling super full and satisfied. This is our second visit as I lobe their Chicken Katsu Curry. I tried sushi today and it’s yummy! It was super busy when we arrived and nearly ended up having take away but one of the staff, Elina, managed to accommodate us. She is super sweet, attentive and looked after us well. I would be bringing my friends and family around next time. Five stars for food, atmosphere, service and beer!”

“The last time I enjoyed authentic Satay Chicken, cooked to perfection on a charcoal BBQ with proper peanut sauce, was at Satay Corner, a delightful Hawker Centre in Singapore. Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed by the lovely husband and wife team, and our waitress, Tara, was outstanding. They made us feel like part of the family, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was buzzing with energy. We started with every Satay skewer on the menu - the sambal and peanut sauce were absolutely incredible! We then had the curries and their fried fish, finishing off with banana fritters for dessert. Wow, wow, wow! I will definitely be visiting again. It's wonderful to have an authentic Balinese restaurant right on our doorstep, offering a taste of something epic and local, without needing to venture into London.”

“Just why this small and friendly restaurant isn’t packed out every night is a mystery!!! Spread the word - it is fantastic!!! We went with friends a week ago to this Mauritian fusion restaurant for the first time and it was like discovering a treasure hidden in plain sight. We were greeted warmly by a very friendly waitress and had our pick of tables as there were only two other tables taken. My wife and I shared a starter of Black Tiger Prawn Fusion which was absolutely fantastic. We then both had a Daube de Poulet for our mains. I cannot begin to describe just how good this was - the chicken was moist, tender and yet still firm and the sauce was amazing. We option to vary the heat level of the spices was good as well. With a couple of glasses of wine the bill came to less than £30/head - an absolute bargain for this quality of food. The menu offers a suitably wide selection that should appeal to all tastes whilst enabling everything to be freshly cooked to order. We looked at other dishes coming out of the kitchen and they all looked very appetising indeed. All I can say is that you should go to this restaurant - it will be something worth while I promise you. And then tell all your friends about it and make sure they go too - they will thank you!!!”

“Ordered take away recently from Loon Wah for my family and I. The food came just before the ETA that was mentioned on the phone, no complaints here for a Saturday evening. Food came hot and tasty, and wasn't like our past experiences elsewhere. We will definitely continue ordering Chinese from here going forward. I can see some reviewers mentioning about the pricing, to be honest in today's climate, it's money well spent for a takeaway. It's not like it's restaurant prices or anything.”

“I’ve lived around the corner from The Boulevard for 20 years, and that’s exactly how long I’ve been coming here. What first appears like a private club behind frosted glass, actually becomes a mid size restaurant, private dining room and bar recently refurbished. Step inside for a proper Indian menu, not some westernised pretend curry house, many of the dishes you may not have seen before. It’s a great menu, the chefs and staff have been here years and they certainly know what they’re doing. And it’s great for Sky Sports too, what’s not to like?!”

“I absolutely love this cafe. The cappuccino I had was one of the best I’ve ever tasted creamy, hot, and made with care. The space is inviting, with a mix of modern style and homey charm. The breakfast menu includes lots of delicious dishes. The staff are genuinely friendly, not just polite, and make you feel welcome. It’s clear they care about both the coffee and the customers. “We love The Od Courthouse Cafe. A gem in High Barnet, especially when you have smaller children. The coffee is great (alternative milks available), food has a good variety (GF and Vegan, and dairy free) and there is plenty of space and ride one toys to keep them occupied whilst you can actually enjoy a cup of coffee, great cake and chat. We frequently come, especially during the summer. The community is what helps make a cafe like this so great, everyone is friendly, locals donate preloved ride ons/ sand toys and children have already been friendly and played so well.”
