Weekend in Sevenoaks

“Visited the Rose and Crown pub over the weekend while in the area for a wedding. It was the closest place so we took a chance. So glad we did ,the staff were helpful, welcoming and had a great sense of humour ,we were treated like we were old friends .The atmosphere was brilliant the place very comfortable and the food was unbelievable. The attention to detail with each dish was incredible , it was hard to pick a winner so choose what you want it will be delicious. Do yourself a favour when in the area and visit the Rose and Crown you definitely won’t be disappointed. Very highly recommended,thank you to the team for doing such a great job.”

“This is a rather special old inn. We had a wonderful, though very brief, overnight stay with breakfast in the morning, the day after a long road journey. Wound down with a nightcap in the company of James and Jules at the bar; they were great hosts. The room and, in particular, the bed were just superb. The bathroom: everything clean and just as you'd want it. Mary made us a very good breakfast and was also very friendly. It was clear all the staff we met actually care and want their guests to enjoy their stay and be comfortable. Highly recommended.”

“I had a lovely curry and rice dish from here tonight and it tasted amazing and the owner is so polite and friendly. I will definitely be coming back to them to support there business as they are a 5 star Indian for sure. Thanks again for the lovely food.”

“Hired the place out for my 40th party last weekend and had a blast. I paid extra for a late license which takes music up to about 12, but means you don’t have to exit until around 1 - highly recommend for a bit of flexibility. Price is really reasonable for hire, but also the drinks & food are too. The food was fab, I even brought home some for the next day and it was super tasty. Everyone who attended had a fab time and the staff there on the evening couldn’t do enough to make it a special night! I know family who are local will look to use the venue again.”

“We were playing Golf at the London Club and I contacted the pub and asked if they would accommodate 4 of us for a full English breakfast before we went to the Golf Club. The manager Steve called me and it was arranged. We had a reserved table and they did us proud. 3 x Full English, Egg, Fried Slice, Mushroom, Sausage and Beans £9.99. Absolute Bargain. We play this every year so this will definitely be an annual pop in for breakfast! Atmosphere in the pub was great and it was spotless thank you once again”

“Exactly what you want for a cute tearoom in the countryside! Hot and cold food, cakes and cream tea. We got the cream tea (£7.50-8/set) and the scones were perfect - came fluffy and warm. Service was friendly and unpretentious. Cosy and clean. Might have to come back and treat myself to a full English next time round...”

“One of the friendliest pubs around. Ben, the landlord makes you feel very welcome. Food is hearty and tastes like home comforts. Come here if you want the best quality service and company. Highly recommend the fish and chips on a Friday. You will not be disappointed.”

“Fabulous independent coffee shop and one that takes cash (unlike some others in Sevenoaks). Love the heated outside seating where my friend and I were joined by a wonderful pair of Jackdaws) . The hot chocolate was superb and the apple pie to die for. Recommended.”

“A lovely local pub in the charming village of Shoreham. The service was great and I had a tasty half pint of Bigfoot from the local Stay Wild brewery. I’m not usually a fan of pale ale but this subtle and aromatic.”

“Clean, comfortable and cosy. No luxury but not needed if you are walking the North Downs Way as we were. Continental breakfast plentiful. Sonya is a great host. Gave us space to relax and chatted with us over breakfast. Do not be fased by the lack of website. Give Sonja a call!”

“Naomi has helped us infinitely in our journey since our daughter, Mathilde, died while I was in labour with her last year. We were not in a very good place when we first started our sessions. Naomi gently, and with compassion, guided us through conversations and gave us the tools to better cope with the many emotions that come with profound grief. We look forward to our sessions with Naomi and always feel like a bit of weight has been lifted after speaking to her. We could not be more grateful for Naomi and everything she has done for us.”

“Catherine, who is 'Billington Travel' is a 'superstar'. She knows the travel business, inside out. No travel booking or problem is an issue. A real gem to go to, for all your travel needs. She even took the trouble to contact us, when we were in our taxi transfer, returning from a recent holiday, when the last plane home was cancelled. Having previously been helped by the top team of reps at Inghams. Don't use her, at your peril! Well done Catherine”
