“Expected it to be like any other wine/alcohol shop. Was pleasantly surprised. Stock levels are massive. They have huge selections of every spirits both small batch and mass produced. They do also take custom orders for parties or one off bottles you’d like. Staff were incredibly helpful offering detailed opinions and personal preferences. Very inclusive and welcoming. Openly admitted “the salesman in me says buy the more expensive one. The drinker in me says to buy the cheaper one as you’d enjoy it more” which I find amazing! Gave me tips and pointers for the future. They do also have a very varied collection of hot sauce and BBQ sauce which I’m in love with. New selection every 1-3 months depending on demand. By far my favourite shop for alcohol and a chat!!”
“Good good, prices and service. Pretty front of building. A little gust of cold when the front door opens. Plenty of space between tables. Easy to hear yourself to speak. Easy to find in Guildford. Good attention to allergens.”
“We've been coming to this Majestic for a few times now. The store has a wide range but Jack's advise has always been a hit! We really trust his recommendations and the other members of the team has been nice and welcoming as well”
“Went today for first time in about 10 years. I had chashu ramen which was very tasty, though not very big. I'd certainly come to have it again. Ivo was very efficient and warm. Everthing was clean and well presented.”
“Staff friendly, great selection of wines, cigars and spirits”
“This shop is amazing, the guy who work’s “there is kind everything I want like a chocolate stick thingy”
“Alex and the team are so lovely. We used to always get ham and cheese paninis. 10/10 ♥️”
“An authentic Italian experience from the moment you enter. The service was exceptional, attentive but never intrusive. This is a family owned and run restaurant and such a pleasant change from those formulaic chains. All our food was superb, particularly the fish dishes and great value. Pre-booking is advisable.”
“Favorite Thai spot in the UK and top 5 restaurant of all time!! Amazing flavors, very fresh, and such sweet service! Thank you!”
“The crab risotto and veal was an amazing combo! The veal dish is a perfectly delicate balance of different textures and flavours! The crab risotto was everything one is proud to write to home about (as they would say in old days), and in nowadays, yes it’s something they would post on here or insta for!”
“Visited last Monday during a week-long stag celebration and wow what a hidden gem! The garlic bread is quite honestly the best we’ve ever tasted and the cocktails were superb - and I think we tried the entire menu between us! Wonderful service, stayed open for us too. We can’t thank you enough, will definitely visit again if in the area!”
“Amazing food, really good flavour with a tasty olive oil. The service is great and really attentive. Will definitely be back! One of those restaurants where you want to take the family that comes visit you.”
“Had an amazing time with the extended family (table of 13). Food was great and the whole staff was friendly and helpful. Really great pub. 100% recommend if you want to have a nice meal.”
“The Little Waitrose at Shell Horsley is a genuinely convenient stop. It's more than just a petrol station shop; it's a well-stocked mini-supermarket. I appreciate the quality of their ready meals and fresh produce, perfect for grabbing a quick, decent dinner. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful, even during busy periods. While it's a smaller selection, they manage to pack in a good variety of Waitrose essentials. It's ideal for those last-minute bits, or when you need to top up on quality groceries without a full supermarket trip. The addition of the coffee machine is a nice touch too, for a quick pick me up. Overall a good experiance for a petrol station based shop.”
“Quickly popped in for a drink, ended up staying for food and glad we did! Food was tasty and authentic.”
“I celebrated my birthday at Chertsey Restaurant, and it was unforgettable. The food was exquisite, bursting with authentic Indian flavours. Tahmid and Tarek provided exceptional service, attentive and friendly throughout. The warm atmosphere made the evening truly special – highly recommended!”
“Beautiful and well kept restaurant with lovely, helpful staff. Food was great, the quality you expect from a chain but executed really well. A very nice visit.”
“I visited the Guildford Parkway Beefeater restaurant on Wednesday 19th November. I was not particularly hungry so a meal from the children's menu sufficed. This was steak chips, peas and mini corn on the cob. The food was delicious and very promptly served. K-C was my waitress and was extremely professional and polite. That said, this applied to all the staff and the atmosphere was very relaxing. In particular I consider that the meal was excellent value for money at £6-99. As an example, I recently paid £9+ for a McDonald's meal. Food was good, and service prompt, BUT, as with all such restaurants, I had to eat with my fingers from a paper bag. At the Beefeater, I have a proper plate and cutlery, and service was just as quick as at McDonald's. Also, yesterday, before dining at the Beefeater, I visited my local Costa. Staff are very pleasant, however I paid £12+ for coffee, cheese cake and a toasted sandwich. In other words, almost twice the cost of a "real" Beefeater meal! Plus, again I had to eat with my fingers! So, overall, many thanks and I look forward to my next meal at Guildford Parkway. Allan Woolston.”
“A great taste of Latin America, not Tex Mex. Even a couple of Mexican friends think the churros as good as back home. I forgive the grammatical error of their name.”
