“I had the wonderful opportunity to visit federal market over the weekend with my sister. There was a small line but we were welcomed with hot chocolate and a wonderful greeting which made it feel like a much shorter wait. As we sat, I was greeting kindly by our waiter as we roughly scanned through the menu with only one thing in mind, French Toast. As the french toast arrived, I was astonished and amazed at the presentation. A nice strawberry syrup almost circling the french toast. Taking my first bite, the soft and pillow-like toast mixed with the not so overly sweet whipped cream and strawberry jam that really worked with well together with the acidity of the fresh fruit cutting through the richness. Every bite was consistent with that same taste as the first bite which I believe is crucial in any dish. The place was vibrant and welcoming with a nice atmosphere. Music even playing at the perfect volume where you can speak to the people with you and still enjoy it. 100% my new favorite spot here in Manchester. Recommend everyone to try the french toast.”

The staff were so friendly and offered to try and polish the scratches out, the scratches are now barely visible and did this completely free of charge, which they didn’t have to do. This shop had a discount rack where I got a Lamine Yamal Spain Adidas jersey for only £60!! Add that the holidays were coming up so I also snagged a Portugal Christiano Ronaldo sweater for only £40 made for a great day overall… and the downstairs lounge with a cafe/bar with video games and Polaroids/cards on the wall is a must see for any real fan!”

“Visited Grindhouse for a quick bite and a coffee to avoid the usual big chains that you can't move for falling over. Friendly staff and service. Had scrambled eggs on sour-dough and I have to say - eggs are easy to get completely wrong and I was very happy that these were completely right! The coffee was also very, very good. My better half had the French toast and reported that it was "very nice" (high praise!) and just the right amount not to make you feel like Jabba the Hutt.”
