“Just a gorgeous spot in the middle of the woods. Beautiful house on the far bank and good for bird life. Paths mainly along one side and the top end with a jetty offering some good close ups to the ducks and swans. Really good for kids and wildlife alike.”

“A lovely place to go for peace and quiet, a picnic and a stroll. It's lovely to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, even if only for an hour or so. Could do with more picnic benches in different areas around the lake. Only complaint is irresponsible dog owners, not picking after their dogs.”

“Today we had our youngest daughters 1st birthday here after having our eldest daughters 1st birthday here 3 years ago. Once again the staff were amazing, they really do want your child to have the best party. Prices are more than reasonable and the food is great. Spacious, well lit, beautifully set out with windows offering views of the canal basin ,its boats and nice canal walks in both directions. Friendly and very welcoming staff. Plenty of tables inside and on the terraces outside. Lovely atmosphere and ambiance and includes historic photos of canal and boating life. Dog and child/ family friendly. Usy on our mid lunchtime mid week visitGreat selection on menu and reasonable prices and such delicious food ( great coffee too) Will certainly visit again soon and likely do so regularly from hence. Thanks to all the staff for making our visit a marvellous experience . I'd highly recom end this lovely pub restaurant.”
