“I came for an evening meal and the staff were immediately kind and very helpful. I was offered a drink whilst I waited at the bar which was amazing and then I was asked if I was ready to be seated upstairs. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff are so friendly and kind. The food was incredible and any time I felt I was ready for another drink or to order more food, there was a staff member near by to help with this. Will definitely be back!”

“This is a wonderful shop that my boyfriend and I found whilst out walking in Didsbury. The lovely staff went above and beyond to get us the specific strong bread flour we were looking for. The prices are very decent and we look forward to going back there very soon. I plan to use mason jars and glass jars in the future and they have the most beautiful loose produce and so much variety. We will be back!”

“Was excited to visit Hea as I'd seen it last time I went to Prestwich but had already eaten at the makers market. We finally went on the weekend and it didn't disappoint! It's a small cafe so you might not find a seat quickly as when we went it was busy, but luckily the table in the window was available. There's lots to choose from on the menu such as Hong Kong style sandwiches, toast, and street food, as well as Hong Kong tea, coffee and bubble tea (but there are also normal teas and coffees). We ordered the ham and egg sandwich, satay steak sandwich and pistachio toast. Unfortunately some of the wraps are limited to summer months but we hope to try those next time. The wait was a bit long as it was busy, but it was worth the wait!! All very tasty and reasonably priced, especially if you go for the set menu. I definitely want to come back and try everything else!”

“What a nice discovery! We had a lovely day walking at worsley woods that finished in the best way eating an unexpected good pizza, so tasty vey good quality, highly recommend this place, Maya our waitress was very kind and helpful. We will definitely come back!”

“Came for breakfast on a Saturday. No wait to order and good came in about 5 minutes ago. Great choice on the menu, we had the smashed avocado with egg and Reuben toastie. The beef was super peppery, great quality of ingredients. A lovely little gem right by the station!”

“My partner and I were over from Australia recently and stayed with our family in Whaley. We visited the Bakehouse several times and had an amazing experience every time. The food quality and variety was excellent, and we both received excellent customer service. The lovely ladies behind the counter gave us several travel recommendations, often asking us on our next visit how our day trips had been. I have also been to the Bakehouse on previous trips back home, and have always had consistent 5 star service, food and drinks. Keep up the great work ladies - we can’t wait to come back for another visit!!”

“Now we’re talking. La Collina was a treat - they have a short, simple home-made lunch menu. I had gnocchi with Bolognaise sauce. Perfect portion size. Coffee was delicious and forced myself to have a pistachio cannoli alongside it. Matt the chef is a focused on flavour and dishes with a twist - you can taste it. Nice space to work from too. Back soon. BACK AGAIN: La Collina is a hidden gem. The menu is developing from daytime only into an evening offering too. Matt, the creator and chef is passionate about the menu. New menu dropping in mid August. Go there.”

“Usually go into town with my girlfriend but the traffic was bad so we went local. This place was just as good as any you’ll find in town. Really flavoursome stews and the injera was delicious. If you’re based in South Manchester, I’d definitely recommend popping down here. Welcoming atmosphere and the servers were really friendly.”

“I absolutely love this place. First visited 20 +years ago when they first opened and I lived in Manchester. I now live up North near Penrith so it’s a treat when I get to visit and I feel like a kid in a sweet shop… The selection is incredible, the price are good, presentation is beautiful. “The most perfect coffee, never had a negative experience here. Oat cappuccinos always so tasty:) Often quite loud just because popular with parents+ young children but always a welcoming, cosy atmosphere! One of my go-to cafes!”

“Awesome GF pizza, but uses the same woodfired oven for all pizzas so always potential risk. I've been here maybe 20 times and never had a reaction to the pizza though so they must be careful with how they managed it. BYOB or have a Tory Fanta like true people of culture.”
