“Wow! wasn’t expecting this, Hartshead Inn on the verge of re-opening to the general public after a major refurbishment has elevated itself to become the best place in the area, in All aspects. Absolutely amazing, had an incredible evening! The interior is stunning, the food is amazing and what makes this even better, is how special the fabulous staff make you feel the moment you walk through the door. To have a restaurant pub of this quality has been long overdue in Saddleworth and the surrounding area. Big thanks to the Beth, Paige, Sam & Kaya for making the evening so memorable and to all the other members of staff working away in the background, was great to meet Megan and Craig from the corporate perspective too. “After seeing so many people recommend this place on Facebook I had to give it a try and wow the egg fried rice flavourful not like most places iv tried countless places an there isn't many that do a good egg fried rice and also spare ribs with ok sauce was delicious proper ribs not them mini wing looking things some places do an the ok sauce was well nice it's not a thick red colour it's light looking but taste so good not too much vinegar smell or taste it was more on the sweet side like honey I highly recommend this place I'll be back to try more”

“Florence Italian Cafe, unit 15 Ashton Indoor Market is very small but often full, and the reason is not hard to find. The staff are friendly, the service excellent, and the prices very competitive. £2.00 for a Nescafé coffee and £2.60 for ham and cheese toasties for example. They don’t do main meals, but well worth a visit for a drink or snack.”

“I've been here twice recently (once drunk), and both in the rain, though that's hardly relevant. These guys have accommodated my request of a non menu meal thrown together in a tray I can carry and eat whilst walking (one time stumbling) home. The foods always been fresh, hot and delicious. Check it out. For the record, it's a tray with chips, battered chicken balls and satay sauce. It's about £7 and well worth it!”

“Great Indian supermarket, fresh herbs, garlic, chilli ( lots of varietys) at about half the normal supermarket price. Lots and lots of dried beans , peas, lentils and other pulses , a very good range of ground spices and curry mixs in different size bags from about 250g upto 1kg A good range of jars of curry sauce / pastes . Huge bags of rice. A good range of oils A limited range of yoghurt, butter, cold drinks . Some kitchen equipment like sives, huge pans, tin openers. But the best thing is the staff , they are friendly and accommodating and can answer all sorts of questions regarding their stock , like how to cook things , what would go best with different sauces , how to prepare / store the fresh herbs and spices.”
