For starters we had calamari, focaccia and olives - all were delicious! Our mains, the pizza and steak were equally yummy. The highlight of the evening for me was when the waiters brought out a cake and sang happy birthday. “We used this venue as a campervan stopover. Which was mostly OK. When we arrived to pitch up the parking area was pretty well at capacity due to a Bowls match, tis cleared after about 2 hours or so and we were able to pitch up. As this was free we decided to meet with my sister and partner and my son. The 5 of us had a pleasant meal in the pub which we enjoyed. I would suggest that the proprietors consider putting an outside drinking water tap and marked bins for waste recycling. I have no doubt that we shall be visiting again.”

“Highly recommended for dog walking and pet sitting. Just moved few months ago, and we´ve been so lucky to came across with Fraser. He is taking care of our two dogs daily for a walk and home sitting them some nights every month. Both of the dogs are rescued and it is not easy to get close to them or gain their confidence and every time they see Fraser they are happy and go to kiss him. He is got a natural affinity with dogs. He is organised and friendly and keeps communication regular which made our first days leaving them easier for us. One of the times I was away and he was pet sitting them they went stomach sick and he looked after them while keeping me updated with everything. So always know they are in safe hands with Fraser. We get peace of mind leaving our dogs with him as we know that he really cares about them.”

The pasta and pizza were great and the ricotta cheesecake was to die for! So so good! Outdoor dinning was lovely in the courtyard. Already looking forward to going back again soon! “Went here for my sister’s 30th for Sunday lunch with my family. The food was incredible and the gravy was so shiny and delicious and there was loads of it! A true northern restaurant. My grandpa also has dementia and we requested that the food was served quickly. They were very accommodating. Can’t wait to come back and try the small plates.”

The prices cant be beaten in this place (large full English £4.95) and the menu extensive with a mix of English and Carribean all sounds delicious. James looks so calm under pressure as he was alone cooking and serving when we called in but everyone served in no time..my favourite place to eat when in Bolton.”
