“Had a weekend away in the Peak District and was visiting nearby towns. Came across this lovely little cafe in a small town not to far from where we were staying (Whaley bridge). We ordered the egg and avacado toast which was yummy!! The hot chocolate was really rich and just perfect. What attracted me to this cafe was the mostly vegetarian menu. The cafe was also a walking distance from Millennium walkway is another great place to visit!”
“Taka was very lovely and enthusiastic. Cheerful attitude definitely put a smile on my face even through the frustration of all the trains have been cancelled. Thank you for being kind”
“Great service and very friendly staff with good food and drinks.”
“I’ve been eating here for over a year now and the choice, price and quality of food is always top quality. But, yesterday a chose to eat the Xmas sandwich and it took it to a whole new level. It was absolutely delicious Please keep it up Jan and your great team. xx”
“Love the decor and vibe in the Rose & Monkey. Ambience is just right as can’t stand brightly lit pubs. Always great music playing in the background. Handy for both Northern Quarter and Ancoats.”
“Junipers is such a lovely establishment. The staff are so welcoming and kind and the service was fabulous. Our server, Flash, was so attentive and made sure we had the best experience! The food was lovely & drinks were delicious. Definitely will return! 5 stars x”
“Friendly and welcoming place with good quality food and drinks for a good price. Would definitely recommend.”
“The BEST venue! The heart of any establishment is it's staff. This is what makes The Spinning Top, not only special, but an incredible place to be. Mike, the landlord, is the kindest, and funniest guy you will ever meet. Our band (For The Hornets) travelled a round trip of around 9 hours to play here, and we were treated like royalty by all of the staff. It rubs off on all of the customers too, as complete outsiders we were made to feel like family. The Bar: Extremely well stocked, with a huge range of craft beers, wines, and mainsteam lagers. My draft Peroni was ice clod and in a Peroni glass - they take pride in what they do. The whole place was spotless, including the loo's. Playing as a band: As I mentioned we were treated like kings. We borrowed the house equipment (a god send for a travelling band) and it was all fantastic. Mike done the sound better than most professional sound engineers that we meet. Epilogue: The following day I had a panic attack that I'd left some vital grear at the venue, and woke Mike up at silly 'o' clock in blind panic. He was calm and extremely helpful. I'm so grateful for this. My was head slightly sore from over-indulgence.... but my abs sore from laughing all night. Absolutely incredible venue. Best in Stockport and Manchester. Would travel a long way out of my way to visit here again. 11/10.”
“Amazing atmosphere and great Customer service, food is well presented and great value for money, the range of food is comprehensive. They also do too good to go bags and you get a great deal at less than £4!!! Can't wait to go again”
“Quiet and aesthetic study spot, perfect for focusing on uni work”
“Crispy chicken breast with soup udon. Iced bubble milk tea. Help yourself with different seasoning. Salt and pepper, seaweed and cheese powder and quite a few others. Would be even better if the breadcrumbs or flour not too thick. Worth trying. Milk tea and a few other drinks come at half price with food order at lunchtime. Very close to metro station or you can park and shop at Tesco Extra with three-hour free parking. Less than five minutes walk from Tesco.”
“Best experience ever had after visiting this shop in Manchester. recently I went for a short trip in UK from Australia and i was looking for some exclusive smoking gadgets which are barely can see anywhere and luckily i found this Head shop closed by. The staff was so friendly and eagerly shown me his unique collections. Really worth to visit the site. Highly recommend this place.”
“Full disclosure: I am not a customer. With that being said,… This establishment is made with love, passion, blood, sweat, and determination that came from its owner, Jori Lakars, aka Hott Mama, aka The Mama who always gave herself goals and standards that benefited the world to the fullest and implemented the highest standards possible. A quick glance at her path shows that she has been successful in the industry well known in a way that the number of 5 reviews or social media followers will not reflect. I met her personally only once before she moved to England about 17 years ago. She was working in a popular tattoo shop in Wicker Park that I won’t name. ( if you know, you know) the had long ravenous hair and substantially fewer tattoos. Although I had met many women who were in the industry, few were celebrated by their peers. The shop posted a large banner in the front window that said ‘we have a female tattoo artist.’ I had never seen that before even in a liberal city like Chicago. Soon after that, every shop in the area had at least one ‘female.’ She went on to work at many of the best rated shops and worked on the best artists in the business as clients. When she moved, we were sad yet proud to see that she was following her passion overseas. She would wonder up one of the top artists anywhere she worked. She finally got her own place and put every ounce of work into it. Sadly, she had just acquired two young brilliant talents just recently. A couple of weeks ago, she passed away in a car accident without any warning. I t is a shock that she is gone and her energy is eternally resting. I have known her half of my life and I have never known anyone like her. A true inspiration and individual person who is driven to create. If you are lucky enough to have had a moment with her, you know what I mean. Love to her local community from Chicago. We were all lucky enough to be together for as long as we could,…… Cheers to Jori.”
“Did two tattoes for me at snort notice. Perfect match to my other tattoo , drawn free hand and coloured. Highly recomend”
“Love this cafe used to go to their cafe in Stockport and now drive 5 miles every Saturday food is great and the most reasonably priced around and we love the coffee. Staff are great”
“Great food every time and the service is excellent highly recommended”
“The lovely manager of this Odeon called me personally to let me know my son had left his wallet behind. Customer service well above the call of duty - she should be given a raise! I commend Odeon for hiring good people and having sensible and safe lost&found policies in-place.”
“We only came across this place after the cafes we'd normally eat at were full, so not normally a place we'd have chosen. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff were all friendly and didn't have to wait long to take food or drink orders. There's free tap water for the tables as well. I ordered the banana bread which was absolutely delicious and very filling. My fiancé and her friend both had avacado on toast and also commented on how nice it was. Prices for the quality and style of the food is fantastic. Can certainly say we'll be returning again.”
“Wow. This has to be one of the best cafes I’ve ever been to! It’s located in the Northern Quarter (Manchester) and it’s situated in an urban area. When you walk inside, you are greeted with a calming fountain and a beautiful atmosphere, just as calming as the fountain. You talk to the staff, who are very nice and kind (10/10) and order your drink (if you want). There is also a wide array of affordable food, you can get cakes, chapatis and quesadillas as well. I ordered Karma Cola (sugar-free) which doesn’t taste like any other cola, it tastes better. The cola isn’t too sweet as well, compared to other colas. You explore around the cafe, curiously, and find the Library. Now, this library is the calmest library I’ve ever been to. Shelves are filled with books and the room is painted in an ambient brown, making it feel even more calming. You look around the library, head to toe in a sense of tranquil. No music is played here. It’s very quiet. You leave the cafe satisfied and calm. Overall, you need to try this cafe, it’s great. The staff are nice, it is affordable, drinks are high quality and if you are looking for a cafe where you can study or just relax, this is the right place for you.”
“Really cool place, it is uniquely cool. Nice interior and atmosphere. Good prices on both food and drink. It’s nice to a hot meal for under a tenner. 10/10 recommendation”

“Only a small selection of cigars but the selection was very well varied. Good mix of new world and Cuban and a good mix of well established and not so well known brands. Lots of pipe and pipe tobacco, too. The proprietor was very knowledgeable, gave very detailed and clear advice based on some vague tastes. Really happy places like this continue to exist.”
“Starbucks Coffee provides a reliable and comfortable spot for coffee lovers, with a wide range of drinks and snacks. The atmosphere is cozy and modern, perfect for relaxing or working, and the staff are usually friendly and efficient. Consistently convenient and enjoyable.”
“Great store, large and varied selection, good quality”
“It may not look like it at first but yes they do print documents. Super courteous staff.”
“It’s in a very nice location inside a bookshop. It can get a bit crowded during Uni lunch hour but the quick and friendly service makes up for it. The place is also clean. I got a pistachio latte which was delicious. Looking forward to visiting again soon.”
“My go to place for vapes. Great variety and good prices. Staff always friendly and helpful.”
“This lady came to the shop with very bad attitude! She was accompanied by her friend. At the start she was aggressive and rude claiming she bought a vape from us half an hour ago ( which was proven later is a lie) she said that vape has finished quickly which means it’s a fake vape. I explained to her nicely that we sell only new, sealed and genuine products plus I don’t recognise her before half an hour and I can check her on the CCTV camera if she wants. She started to be more aggressive and rude saying we sale used vapes and we are a scammer. She was trying to get a free vape by her fraudulent claim. When I asked her to leave the shop she started to talk to my customers that we are a scammer not to buy from us. Durning that argument she started to take my photos without my permission, then she reported it that on Google with her bad review to ruin my reputation and my business reputation. I have checked CCTV camera later I didn’t find her many hours before her claim in the same day which indicates she is a scammer. Be aware of this girl.”
