Only had a brew and a cake but it’s spacious, light and airy, with nice, big booths and a sunny back yard (looks like a good set up for DJ’s too) Coffee was good, sweet stuff was from Silver Apples, so pretty familiar and more than decent quality. Staff were super friendly. Will definitely head back and try some proper food and drinks soon”

“So I was about to go to Sainsbury's cafe when I chanced upon this lovely little cafe. Pleasant place for a nice bite to eat. Only takes cash so make sure you have some on you. The price is reasonable and the staff are helpful.”

“This is the best breakfast I've had in years. We had the large breakfast and couldn't manage it all. Everything is cooked to order, it's hot and fresh, and just a few steps better quality than almost everywhere else we have stopped for breakfast. “Alfresco cake I'm aware of this business I have used a few times but not quite often as I used to do. The freshly made food preparation is very good value for your money. Friendly staff service very well organised business even though it's hard for the business owner to continue to do so as specially more so in these pressing times it's hard for any businesses trying to keep servicing the community at the same time trying to survive and own a living.”

“Clockwork Cafe is a lovely cafe on the end of the high street (just up from Sainsbury's) in New Mills. The food, service and atmosphere are all great. It's like the hearty, honest food your mum or grandma would make you and it's done with care and at price that doesn't break the bank (which is happening at a lot of places since the cost of living crisis). I would thoroughly recommend the Cafe to my friends and family and know that they won't be disappointed. I'll be back to try the cakes and scones soon!”

“This is probably the first review of 'the new Bradshawgate Cafe and Bar'. Yes - you read that right - Cafe AND Bar! This is the first licensed premises on Bradshawgate for 18 years!!! The owner ( very nice friendly guy) has taken over the old Bradshawgate Cafe and turned it into a day into night venue serving food, tea coffee etc.and a good range of draught beers and wines. They also serve cocktails. He is hoping soon to have tables and chairs outside so that people can enjoy a drink in the open air. We just had a coffee and toast. It was fine - it's very early days and the staff are still learning the ropes. The decor is nice and it's comfortable and relaxing. We have promised to go back one evening soon for a drink. I believe this is just the kind of business we need to bring some life and vibrancy back to Bradshawgate and the owner is very brave to take the risk and be the first to stride out with such a venture. I really hope the decent people of Leigh will support him so that other business people are encouraged to follow suit and restore some life and pride to our town.”

“Great cafeteria that serves both breakfast & lunch with a large selection of foods to suit any tastes. It's is subsidised for local employees of the surrounding businesses so prices are reasonable. Large screen showing the news channel so you can catch up on what's going on around the world while eating. Or you can view the River Orwell on one side & watch the cruise boats passing by.”

“Fantastic lunch here. The food was to die for and the freshly squeezed orange juice was gorgeous. The mozzarella focaccia was so flavourful and the strawberry and vanilla sundae was absolutely next level. Our server, Esin was so lovely and attentive and even surprised me with a piece of passion fruit cheesecake (which tasted incredible) as I’m halfway through my pregnancy and was out shopping with my mum. Will definitely be returning!”
