“First time here and certainly won’t be the last, minced chicken with lettuce wraps and salt & pepper prawn were the most savoury light delectable starters with duck, rice and the star of the show, steamed whole sea bass for main. My oh my best sea bass I have ever eaten, moist, fell off the bone, intensely savoury liquor, no extra thickeners. Just wow. And Sunny. Sunny sunny sunny. You were the highlight of the evening. “What an absolute gem of a place, huge place filled with all sorts of wonderful bits and pieces. Two floors of excellent quality good sturdy furniture. If you find a piece but its not quite the right colour have a chat with them and they see what they can do to lighten/darken it to suit you. Excellent find lovely place. even lovelier people that run the place (so sorry My memory is shocking when it comes to names) nothing it to much for them. “We used this venue as a campervan stopover. Which was mostly OK. When we arrived to pitch up the parking area was pretty well at capacity due to a Bowls match, tis cleared after about 2 hours or so and we were able to pitch up. As this was free we decided to meet with my sister and partner and my son. The 5 of us had a pleasant meal in the pub which we enjoyed. I would suggest that the proprietors consider putting an outside drinking water tap and marked bins for waste recycling. I have no doubt that we shall be visiting again.”

“Flic decided to have a day out in Marple. We started at this lovely Robinson's pub next to Rose Hill station. I am pretty sure I have been here a few times many years ago. Large open plan and plush interior with TV's and an outside terrace, also with a TV. Stairs down to a small beer garden beside a large car park. Three of four handpumps in use on my visit. Went for a seasonal Pale Ale, AMO 4.4%. Really refreshing.”

“I phoned to ask if they had any kittens, they were kind enough to keep my number and let me know. The lady who helped us was patient, showed us how to care for them and even wsited behind after their opening times so I could go buy some carry cases.
