Well worth a stop if using the airport to go on Holiday. Good for when you need to entertain at a restaurant. Would not hesitate to recommend, good chain of hotels with decent standards at all times.”

“A lovely cottage in a very quiet location with splendid views. Very comfortable, well presented and spacious accomodation, with a log burner in the lounge, and excellent range cooker in the kitchen. Spacious main bedroom with very comfortable bed, and well equiped bathroom. Very suitable for dog owners with footpaths on the doorstep. We shall certainly return.”

“Such a lovely place to see Alpacas up close. Claire was really knowledgeable and the alpacas were really friendly. Lovely setting too. Easy to find with what 3 words. Great to be able to feed the animals and stroke them. Claire clearly cared a lot about the animals and making sure they were well fed, clean and looked after. Good value for money in a group.”

“We had such an amazing time at Woodlands Alpaca Farm today! I went with my baby, and from the moment we arrived, Susie made us feel so welcome. She was incredibly patient, took the time to explain everything, and you can really tell she loves what she does. The alpacas were wonderful, and the whole experience felt warm, personal, and unforgettable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a special day out, we’ll definitely be back!”

“My Dog had an amazing time here, lovely big secure open space in a very secure field. The Trainers are amazing, they know there stuff, my dog is such a calm boy now. There are so many opportunities to choose from Shows, fun days, photography shoots, events, professional trainer that come to the farm, social walks, group training sessions at all levels and agility, hoopers etc the list goes on and on. “The Dog Walkers are just amazing. Darren & Viv are just so lovely and clearly have a great affinity with the dogs - our lab just adores going for his dog walks! They are always providing photos and updates, which is really fun and also reassuring to see our dog happily socialising. I honestly could not recommend them highly enough!”

He is quite a nervous dog at times .but Carol took time and care to reassure us and Dylan . “We booked The Mews and The South Cottage for 5 nights for our wedding. The cottages were spotless, the interiors were beautiful and the views and ground of the cottages were stunning. It felt like homely luxury! The layout worked really well in terms of the number of bathrooms etc. It was the perfect place to get family and bridesmaids together before the wedding and such a beautiful place to get ready on the wedding morning itself. Would definitely recommend.”

“I had such a lovely breakfast experience here. I pre ordered and booked the day before for a late morning vegetarian breakfast. The owner was very quick to respond to my social media messages and happily made adjustments to my order. Food was delicious and service was very quick. Condiments were offered and a toilet is available inside. Seating available outside during good weather. Takeaway orders are taken. The boat was warm, cosy and full of character. The owner was really friendly and asked us questions about ourselves and built up a good rapport. Will definitely return”

“Just the best. Can't fault anything from welcome to departure. We stayed in the Barn which was amazing. Lovely touch of the essential food baket on arrival. Quality decor and furnishings. The rooms were spacious and the hot tub was an added bonus. Alan was on hand if needed (which he wasnt). Location beautiful and totally relaxed on departure. Well worth the trip up from London.”

“I booked a meerkat and birds of pray experience for my partners 40th birthday and I must say Nanette and her husband went above and beyond and made the day so special I honestly cannot thank them both enough! Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a personalised happy birthday message on the black board, this little touch really made the day feel special and was a great start to a fantastic day. Nanette is very knowledge, so learning about these magnificent animals was excellent. We felt very safe and relaxed and had a wonderful hands on time with both the meerkats and the birds of pray. I highly recommend Vale Royal Falconry Centre to everyone, whether it is for a lesson or just a nice day out, you will not be disappointed!! Thank you to you both for giving us such a fantastic birthday and making it feel special in these difficult times!!”

“Had a lovely, relaxing trip on the Judith Mary Canal boat today, from Whaley Bridge travelling along the High Peak Canal,which was very enjoyable.The Atmosphere aboard the boat was great, it was decorated out for Christmas, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, working very hard to make sure everyone was happy. We had a Christmas meal, which consisted of a Turkey batch, roast potatoes, pig in blanket and a stuffing ball, served with gravy and cranberry sauce, followed by a very tasty warm mince pie and fresh thick double cream.(included in price) You can have an alternative menu for dietary requirements arranged when booking. There is a well stocked bar on the barge, serving beers, lagers, cider,wines, and spirits, with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, mulled wine, and speciality coffees, all at reasonable prices. There are toilets on board, which are clean. The trip lasts roughly 2 hours, but to be honest, time went so quickly. hardly noticed . Trip turns around at some point during the cruise, so you end back up at Whaley Bridge.”
