“Failsworth Sports Centre offers a well-rounded experience for fitness enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. The highlight of the facility is undoubtedly its five-star gym. Equipped with state-of-the-art machines and free weights, the gym is rarely crowded, providing an almost exclusive feel. This allows for uninterrupted workouts and easy access to equipment at any time of the day. The swimming pool, which boasts I would say the the cleanest water you'll find across all sports centres well maintained, offering a refreshing and hygienic environment for swimmers. Everyone is very social and it makes a change from the other sites. The staff at Failsworth Sports Centre deserve special mention for their friendliness and professionalism. Their positive attitude and helpful nature contribute significantly to the inviting atmosphere of the centre. However, The sports centre is beginning to show its age, and certain parts of the facility, particularly the changing rooms and could do with some tender loving care. Updating areas would go a long way in enhancing the overall user experience.”

“Fabulous place! Staff are so friendly, extremely clean and facilities so so lovely. Lots of machines to use in the gym as well as free weights, pool is always spotless and perfect temperature. All in all a lovely environment. Gym goers are friendly too and helpful, if you're new to the gym! Price of membership definitely worth it for the location and the facilities!”

“Just had our first weekend at Alton Towers, we had a brilliant time, really well organised. The social dancing was great fun, and being up close with the dancers was amazing. There are two things I would change/review , 1) the food at dinner wasn’t great, and there is no excuse for a hotel to serve food on cold plates. This is not Donaheys fault, but worth mentioning. 2) The red carpet photo call is just a photo opportunity, due to time constraints etc, there isn’t the ability to have any individual photos. But make sure you get to the red carpet on the Saturday black tie ball as they look amazing. We’ve booked again for next year and can’t wait ! This weekend has encouraged us to join a Dance School, hopefully next year we may be wearing blue wristbands!”

Alana embraces every challenge and gives students a whole host of opportunities regardless of whether dance is a hobby or something more serious. Taking the school to regional competitions, hosting huge shows and continually building her own knowledge and skills to support the varying needs of the pupils - being a part of the school for almost 4 years, our daughter not only dances more days than not, but has an environment where she has built the best friendships and feels safe and secure to be exactly who she is without the difficulty of masking her emotions, needs and neurodiversity. Without a safe space with Alana, she wouldn’t be anywhere near as confident as she is today!”

“I’ve tried a few studios since moving to the area and tiva is the place I most felt welcomed and at home. Teachers are fabulous and supportive. I’ve met some really great people while going too.”

“After 20 years away from ballet (and off pointe!), I decided to back to adult ballet about 20 kilos heavier and with horribly out of shape arches! Heather's studio is tucked away under a railway bridge so is a little noisy at times, but other than that, it's a gorgeous experience. Heather herself is gentle and sweet, super encouraging (not at all like Madame Pauline when I was young!) and the best thing is: THIS IS A FULLY DIVERSE, INCLUSIVE STUDIO! I wasn't the only person my age (40s), there were all genders (including trans and non-binary people) and ages and colours, which was lovely and welcoming. My class had a working dad in his 50s, who was just as comfy alongside me as the younger, fitter kids. Really loved it and if you can't make it to Salford, Heather offers online courses as well, which are just as challenging and fun!”
