“My favourite Indian restaurant in the area. It does not go for an upmarket "authentic" style rather this is honest good value "Indian" food aimed at British taste. BYOB a huge bonus. Some sound-absorbing soft wall coverings would help as (see other reviews) it can get very noisy. But fortunately not for us this last visit !”

“We are 6 months into working with Godfrey Holland and the experience to date has been fantastic. They really took the time to understand what it was we needed, and where we wanted to go with the business, before moving to them and they helped make the transition from our previous accountant a simple and painless process. The systems they use are simple and intuitive and were very easy to adopt and make it easy to stay on top of things. Communication is excellent and nothing seems too much trouble when we call for thought or advice. An exceptional service!! Very happy to recommend them.”

There was four of us in our party , booked in yesterday and each and everyone of us had amazing meals. So reasonable and they even finished off surprising me with a special birthday dessert. “I visited Costa Gatley Sunday afternoon — a clean, well-maintained store with a cosy atmosphere and a good selection of food options. However, what stood out during my visit was an interaction at the till that left me quite surprised, and not in a good way. When I ordered a medium hot drink, the young girl serving me actively discouraged the choice. She suggested I go for a smaller size, saying: “There’s not much difference in size — go for the small and save some pennies.” As someone who has run a business for over a decade, I found this quite concerning. In most places, staff are trained to upsell — encouraging customers to consider larger sizes or additional items, which is standard practice in retail and hospitality. Her approach, while possibly well-intentioned, directly goes against basic principles of sales and revenue generation. Encouraging customers to spend less, especially unprompted, may seem kind, but it’s ultimately damaging to the business. In my view, this isn’t just unprofessional — it’s a risk to the long-term health of the store. Costa may want to consider reviewing training procedures to ensure staff understand the balance between customer service and commercial awareness. Thank you”

“I have not been to the March Hare in a while due to the last few visits being very disappointing . Todays vidit has definitely changed my opion. We were greeted by the assistant manager Gav, he was pleasant and accommodating. We had not booked but he managed to squeeze us in. The waitress Georgia was very pleasant and professional. The food was lovely and service was prompt. 2 empty plates. The refurbishment was in character and creates a family friendly atmosphere. The outdoor area has had a much needed upgrade and definitely a place I will visit on a sunny day. The toilet upgrade is definitely a vast improvement . Excellent selection of drinks including a vast variety of zero alcohol. I would highly recommend it .”

“What a lovely evening I have just had for my daughter’s 11th birthday family meal. I booked a table online and requested a table near the window which we got and then as a surprise at the end of the meal the chef brought out a cake and the staff sang happy birthday to my daughter which I wasn’t expecting. All the staff were superb. I’m afraid I didn’t catch their names but a blond lady and a tall lad with longer hair looked after us and a female chef. They all deserve massive praise. Constantly checking we were all ok and dealing with my sisters gluten free dietary requirements (she was impressed and happy that you kept everything separate and even more happy she got a carvery with gluten free Yorkshires and gravy!). The food was as expected- pub grub, great quantity and taste. We all left full of happiness and full bellies and that’s all we want from a family outing! So thankyou”

“Delicious chicken burger and sandwiches overall. I wouldn’t recommend the peanut butter and jelly milkshake -it was really disappointing -but the Oreo milkshake was nice. The sauces were all great, and the tenders were lovely. I tried both a sandwich and the burger. The sandwich was much better; the burger felt a bit bulked out with cabbage, though still tasty. Service was a bit slow -I ordered first but my meal came last out of our group of 11. Overall, I would recommend it for the food.”

“Literally the best pizza in Gtr Manchester easily… The owners are lovely once you get to know them and they have some great offers on over lunchtime but overall it’s really good value for money. I cannot understand why anybody would leave a negative review on this place, I’ve had it multiple times and can’t fault it. Huge thumbs up from me!”

Tonight ordered a delivery and it arrived (Just Eat) after a long 70 minutes wait. The curry was leaking from it's container and the poppadoms were burnt - not just overcooked but charred around their edges : and they thought it acceptable to send them to a customer. No”

“So, fundamentally this was a really nice place. The atmosphere is modern yet comfortable. I felt it was clean and well-looked after and I did not find anything obvious out of place. Our party was there for a wedding reception and there were quite a lot of us. We ordered a lot of food and although I felt that the service was a little slow perhaps, I didn't find it slow to the point of questioning it as, after all, they were cooking approximately 20 meals from scratch. I ordered lamb shank and crème brule and I really enjoyed the lamb. I found it to be well cooked and definitely enjoyed my meal. As far as I am aware most of our party enjoyed their meal and we found nothing to complain about with the food at all. The service was actually really pro-active and helpful and I got the impression that nothing was too much trouble and the staff were really polite.”
