Tasted like real Eastern European cooked in the home, which is actually what the lovely host told us: all cooked by his wife. Unbelievable desert, nothing was too heavy, but rich and layered tastes. “We went for our Golden Girls xmas meal so just a small group of 4 now and it was lovely. We prebooked a Monday Evening 3 weeks in advance. We have usually only gone in the day time and the place is lovely and the staff are always very nice. They do the best coffee and we wanted tp try it at night as we hear its a different experience. So we decided this year although we are a smaller group now we would go there. It was lovely with all the lights and decor. It had a very nice friendly family, feel to it. I would highly recommend. They serve Nice food and the atmosphere is very welcoming and not intimidating which is what you want. We will continue to go there in the days for the fresh and well presented brunch foods and the best coffee locally but on special occasions they are also definitely good for an evening visit.”

“Al tayyba had very good food, good portion of both dishes which were Qabily palau and kofta kebab on rice. The price was good as well compared to the quantity of food we were given. Ambiance of restaurant was also excellent.”

“A taste of authentic Mexican culture nestled within the hustle and bustle of Manchester’s curry mile. Don Tacos flagship cuisine is their delectable birria offering, and is perfect for a Friday evening takeaway (which this brief review describes). Our party sampled a range of items from the menu including birria tacos, burritos, quesadilla and tacos. The food, as usual, was delicious. It’s on the expensive side for the portions you get, but I’d say it is still reasonable value. As per any good Mexican culinary establishment, Jarritos were available. I recommend pineapple or mango. Delivery seemed efficient, with a reasonable speed and items arrived in good condition. The packaging is elegant and tasteful. This review will stop here for now, but more details will follow on a dine-in experience, which I greatly look forward to soon.”

“Lovely Pizza Express, our Waiter was wonderful as always and one of the reasons we are repeat customers. The warm atmosphere was very well appreciated considering the weather outside is awful!! “We are Americans visiting Manchester for the holidays. The Didsbury Pub was recommended to us for dinner. We had dinner at The Didsbury Pub on Christmas Eve, and it was fantastic! Steven, our server, looked after us; he did a fantastic job. The Didsbury Pub had a Festive Menu on Christmas Eve and our compliments to the Chef. The food was delicious. The hand carved roast turkey with Yorkshire pudding was awesome. So was the Marmalade Glazed Ham Hock. And the desserts. The apple & blackberry crumble was scrumptious; as was the melting chocolate fondant. The pub is beautiful. The atmosphere was great. One of the best dining experiences in all our travels. Thank you to Steven, the Chef, and all the great people at The Didsbury Pub. I highly recommend everyone visiting Manchester to stop in and enjoy The Didsbury Pub.”

“Visited today to try steak and eggs. The best steak I’ve had in a very long time. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Melt in your mouth steak and the chimchuri was spot on. Husband enjoyed the orange juice, recommended from Jordan, and said the halal breakfast hit the spot without feeling too heavy. Apart from the excellent food, Jordan delivered exceptional customer service. He talked with a smile and looked after us from beginning to end. It was refreshing to see such great service.”

“Nice atmosphere and good music. There’s quite a few shisha places on wimslow road but this is definitely the best one. Spent 16£ on the shisha and a drink. Shisha was smooth and flavour lasted a few hours. Would go again :)”

“We visited in a family group. The carvery food was basic and straightforward food. It isn't gourmet food but it was tasty, very affordable and generous. The staff were attentive and helpful. Booking is recommended as it is a popular place to eat. I would definitely go again thanks to the affordability factor!”

“Doesn't sell food so don't know why there is a waiting for food. Unless drinks class as food. Anyway good club fits about 200 people in there and when it's full it gets hot as it seems to be in a basement not quite sure but it's down stairs anyway. Good bouncers on the door. Good place to go for a night out. Only thing is you have to buy tickets online. But other than that Great place.”
