“Beautiful. Located in the quaint town of Uppermill, this chic cafe bar is a faithful spinoff of one of Uppermill’s best cafes, Caffe Grande Abaco. This cafe bar has a nice rustic and authentic atmosphere, like a traditional cafe bar you may find in Italy. Also, the staff are really friendly (10/10), especially Nigel (the owner), who was great to me. Plus, I went to Caffe Grande Abaco for 10 years, and it was quite emotional to meet Nigel, as I was always asking the staff at Caffe Grande Abaco, “Is the owner in?”. Now, back to Veloce! The cafe offers a variety of drinks, handpicked from CGA (at this point, I’m going to shorten it - Caffe Grande Abaco). So, you can have a nice latte or a cosy hot chocolate while you chill and warm up here. Surprisingly, it is also a deli, since they have charcuterie meats and cheeses, condiments, authentic Mediterranean pastries and biscuits, and even freshly baked bread (so authentic!). I tried Rogers Pistachio Cruffin (mix between a croissant and a muffin) which was crispy and flaky on the outside, but fluffy and indulgent on the inside, and the silky pistachio cream made it even better. Perfect for breakfast! They also do sandwiches here, with fresh sourdough and scrumptious meats and cheeses and even flaky sausage rolls. What I really want to mention, however, is the fact that they are supporting local businesses. Most things here (the pastries, products and even honey) are made by small businesses in towns near Uppermill, which is really nice as Veloce is helping out those businesses. Overall, this place is a must if you are looking for a proper Italian cafe bar, and some delicious food. It is also perfect if you want to buy some charcuterie meats and cheeses, as they have a wide variety of them. Only complaint is, Veloce really needs to bring in some Arancini, as I don’t see much Arancini in Saddleworth, and I’m very sad about that. “Popped in the first time last week, then again this week. Their food especially chips (not fries) are massive and crispy and lovely MUCH better than chip shop ones.. imagine chip shop sized but French crisp fried! All food is clean and hot! (not greasy) properly cooked and delicious. And a breakfast for 5.50 is amazing! My new hangout!”

“What a fantastic little place this is. Has just most of the things needed for oriental cooking and the prices are reasonable given the locations. I do find myself having to read the ingredients a lot of the times but luckily j didn't find anything that didn't have an English sticker with the ingredients on the packaging. Staff were very friendly and helpful too as they knew exactly what we were after.”

“Outstanding! Freshly prepared, authentic, wonderfully tasty food - restaurant-quality dishes, amazing flavours... It took us a while to try Armenian Grill House as, compared to take away pizza or chicken, the prices appear a bit high. But I really wish we'd given them a try earlier, because their fabulous food is worth every penny. Highly recommended!! They will be out go-to take-out from now on!”

Lots and lots of dried beans , peas, lentils and other pulses , a very good range of ground spices and curry mixs in different size bags from about 250g upto 1kg A good range of jars of curry sauce / pastes . Huge bags of rice. A good range of oils A limited range of yoghurt, butter, cold drinks . Some kitchen equipment like sives, huge pans, tin openers. But the best thing is the staff , they are friendly and accommodating and can answer all sorts of questions regarding their stock , like how to cook things , what would go best with different sauces , how to prepare / store the fresh herbs and spices.”
