“Nestled just outside the bustling city centre of South Manchester, the beautifully maintained Victorian public park is a true gem. Its picturesque landscapes and historic charm make it an ideal spot for both relaxation and recreation. The park is a vibrant hub of community activity, hosting a variety of events throughout the year. From lively fun fairs to bustling car boot sales, there's always something happening here. The spacious lawns provide plenty of room for cricket matches and football games, drawing in teams and families alike. Moreover, seminars at Chorlton Lodge offer a unique opportunity for local residents to engage in educational and cultural discussions. Walking through the park, you'll appreciate the well-kept pathways and lush greenery that pay homage to its Victorian roots. It's the perfect backdrop for a leisurely stroll, a picnic with friends, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this park is a must-see destination that reflects the spirit of South Manchester. Highly recommended for anyone looking to connect with the community or enjoy a day out in a charming setting.”

“Great park with stunning waterfalls. In a mile circular walk you see a variety of different waterfalls, plus a few other features including a disused weather station, standing stone, and war memorial. Waterfalls are truly well worth seeing. Bit hilly, but decent paths. There's plenty of street parking outside the park, and a kids playground too. Lovely pond to walk round too.”

“We have taken the kids a few times and more recently attended a Peppa Pig party to celebrate my son and daughters 3rd birthday. The place it's self is a little small but has a lot to offer we particularly like it because of the sensory room which offers a clam environment for my son. The twins also enjoyed the interactive room and the main soft play area which is great for young children. The food in the cafe is very nice offers both hot and cold food. Great place, great people and would highly recommend”

“We got married at Rylands Farmhouse in May and we couldn’t recommend it enough. From our first viewing of the venue to the morning after our wedding the service provided was second to none. The staff went above and beyond for us at every opportunity and nothing was too much to ask. Our wedding guests were blown away with the venue and the staff. The rooms were beautiful and clean and the breakfast the next day was delicious. Luis was with us from the beginning and throughout our whole wedding day and he was absolutely amazing! He made sure that everything was perfect for us and we can’t thank him enough! We can’t wait to revisit for every anniversary in future! Thank you Rylands x”

“Wythenshawe Park and Gardens is one of the best green spaces in South Manchester, offering a mix of open fields, formal gardens, woodland walks, and family-friendly facilities. The park is well kept, with plenty of benches, flat paths for walking or cycling, and a relaxed atmosphere. The community farm and horticultural centre add extra interest, especially for younger visitors. There’s also a good café near the courtyard area, ideal for a quick lunch or coffee. It can get busy during events and weekends, but there's usually space to find a quiet corner. A reliable choice for a free day out with plenty to explore.”
