“A lovely park with lots of options for children to have fun. We had 6 children ranging from 9 months to 8 years and all found something to do. Parking is reasonable, as is the kiosk. They enjoyed feeding the ducks, the bike track, play ground and the sand pit. More benches on the sunshine would be useful.”

“I have just finished the 12 days adventure with Camp Thailand ran by reps Annabel and Tao. Had a fantastic time, very well organised and can’t speak highly enough of the pair of them for the work they do. Just lovely people! The tour itself allowed for plenty of free time along with pre-planned activities which meant we were kept busy but not too worn out!”

“Great venue for any celebration or even a nice pint on a sunny day. Whole place was spotlessly clean each time I've visited. Staff couldn't do enough for us on the night of the event and were so nice to everyone. I will definitely hire again, the setting is lovely as it is right next to the canal running through Marple. Plenty of parking space too”

“A hidden gem. Doesn't look much from outside,and in middle of houses so don't expect a club there, but inside cosy welcoming and very friendly staff. Also has stage and puts on events, but l haven't seen any of these, yet.”

“My daughter joined the nursery 4 days a week over extended hours just before she turned 1. As a new parent I was really nervous about this but was immediately put at ease by the staff. My daughter started with a few settling in mornings and then began nursery the following week. Over the course of the 7 weeks I have seen my daughters progress updated on the ‘Famly’ app. This will tell you exactly what she has eaten and drank and how much, nappy changes and her sleep. The app is also updated with key information for the nursery along with pictures and progress of your child. I couldn’t recommend the nursery enough, when my daughter leaves for nursery in the mornings she happy to go and she comes home with a beaming smile and I can tell she’s had lots of fun. The staff at the nursery will go above and beyond to ensure not only your child is settled within the nursery but also check you are ok and send pictures and updates throughout those first few days.”

“Excellent place. We went to a birthday party here. Lovely place. Excellent party for a child. Bouncy castle in the room. You could sit out, lovely greenery, lovely staff at bar. Nice place to hold an event such as a birthday for kids. Holds more people than you realise. Everywhere clean, toilets clean. Lovely place in a lovely area too!”

“Visit here regularly, great selection of dog treats/food and super friendly. They've also got quite a good selection of dog toys that you wouldn't find in other places. Highly recommended!”

“One of Tamesides hidden gems. The main entrance has 2 big open spaces for ball games etc. A young children's play area with a gated sand pit and further up the hill an older children's play area with climbing frames. But the best bit is the public orchard at the top of the hill and the wildlife sanctuary plus a plethora of wild walking paths. Popular with dog walkers (please pick up your dogs waste) and families alike. A good stroll around Cheathams will get the heart pumping and is a joy for the eye. 10/10.”

“Nice park near the Stockport station. Has a good number of ducks and swans. Also, you can book for fishing here.”

“The building, i believe, is not open to the general pubic but luckily for me, i work for the company that maintains it, so I got to see inside and how grand it is pictures speak for themselves it's grade 2 listed and has links with Agatha christie and also prince albert is rumourd to have stayed the night here on a visit to Manchester to open a gallery”

“Platt Fields Park is one of my favorite spots in Manchester! It’s perfect for all ages, with a beautiful lake, open spaces for picnics, and a playground for kids. There are also sports facilities and plenty of peaceful walking paths. A great place to relax and enjoy nature without leaving the city!”

“Absolutely beautiful park. Very special place for me since the 1960s. Visited for the first time since the late 70s/early 80s since moving out of the area. Heartbreaking what's happened to the buildings and beautiful conservatory etc but so wonderful to see what the various volunteer groups are achieving there, above all giving the Park love and TLC.
