“Amazing spa hotel that caters so well for families. We come here every christmas and the atmosphere is so warm and festive The whole place is super clean and smells so nice too. we never eat there other than the snacks and coffee. The facilities are amazing and the bedroom is so spacious.”

“We had our first meal at this restaurant tonight and it was absolutely fantastic! The service was top-notch, with friendly and efficient staff who were attentive to our needs. A really nice touch was when the chef came out of the kitchen to ask us how our food was. This is something I've only seen on TV before, but it was a really personal and thoughtful gesture that made me feel valued as a customer. The food was also delicious and flavorful. We had pizza, carbonara and risotto and they were cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The portion size was generous, and I left feeling satisfied but not overstuffed. We also had the tiramisu and chocolate fudge cake both were delicious. The price of the food is a little bit higher than some other restaurants I've been to, but I think it's worth it for the quality of the food and the excellent service. I will definitely be coming back here again soon!”

“What a nice discovery! We had a lovely day walking at worsley woods that finished in the best way eating an unexpected good pizza, so tasty vey good quality, highly recommend this place, Maya our waitress was very kind and helpful. We will definitely come back!”

“Started frequenting the Horsebox as was getting repeatedly let down by both coffee quality and service at other local spots. The coffee here is the best around Worsley and the cakes are delicious. Chocolate baklava, who knew? Amazing”

“Sue & the team provided a lovely buffet my mum's 70th birthday, plenty of selection. Their service is efficient and will go ubove & beyond to any requests ie dietary, selection, delivery etc. Also followed by calls to check everything is ok etc. Sue takes pride in providing the best customer service. I would certainly recommend. Every guest commented on the quality and variety of the food provided. Thankyou x”

“Food was bang on everything looked fresh and everything smelled amazing different sections they have a grill Chinese and chip shop went for donner lamb on a tcake with chip shop chips mayo and chilli sauce everything was 10 out of 10 it was because of others reviews that I chose this place”

“Had a takeaway yesterday from here and it was excellent. The food was properly hot and fresh and the portion size was good. The prices seem very good to me, a lot cheaper than where I live anyway. Highly recommend.”

“Love this place, very relaxed atmosphere. Dogs welcome, little treats to buy on the counter so our little furry friends can join in. Good menu, sourdough toast, smashed avocado etc, pie selection and sweet treats also. Can eat outside or in.”

I just had the fish ( small ) that would have sunk a battle ship it was that big it could have fed 2 of us.... Cooked to perfection....friendly staff.... I'll deefinately be back again”

Second choice chicken tikķa masala beautiful a little bit too much coconut for me but was lovely. All in all the food well worth the money. Definitely ordering again x”

“My friend and I visited John Gilbert on 19th December for lunch. Service was very good (by Casey). Both our meals were very tasty and served lovely and hot. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas. A nice relaxing ambience. I would definitely recommend this pub both for food and service.”

“I had heard good things about this place from a friend and as I was travelling home from work my son amd I decided to swing in. We were made to feel very welcome, the staff are really lovely and the food was top notch. Needless to say we left feeling very full and happy. “So enjoyed this our first visit and far exceeded our expectations- easy and free to park by simple registering your vehicle at the console by the bar. Spacious, well lit, beautifully set out with windows offering views of the canal basin ,its boats and nice canal walks in both directions. Friendly and very welcoming staff. Plenty of tables inside and on the terraces outside. Lovely atmosphere and ambiance and includes historic photos of canal and boating life. Dog and child/ family friendly. Usy on our mid lunchtime mid week visitGreat selection on menu and reasonable prices and such delicious food ( great coffee too) Will certainly visit again soon and likely do so regularly from hence. Thanks to all the staff for making our visit a marvellous experience . I'd highly recom end this lovely pub restaurant.”

“I went in this evening and the team had an assessment going on which obviously would’ve been highly stressful for them as it is with any job having an audit. Despite this the service remained perfect, food was great and minimal interruption. “Best burgers around by far!!! I saw all the other reviews online and was a little worried about ordering, despite knowing this place is renowned for amazing burgers. Wow it did not disappoint! We got 2 beef and 1 chicken to share some chips and chicken strips and was all 10/10 Only thing that let it down slightly was the temperature, so next time will definitely collect it as the shop in Salford is under 5 minutes from my home. Thanks so much for amazing burgers! The picture isn’t great but good portion sizes aswell.”
