Service was on point and I would say, they went above and beyond to help me choose from the menu and then, prepare the food within the time I had available. “Fantastic food in the most unassuming place and location. The whole experience was smooth and food wasn't too spicy. What they have classed as 3 peppers out of 5 - I found rather mild. Really like the medium of building your own custom plate. It's a novelty, but very refreshing idea and gives you opportunity to taste a few things at once without spending crazy money on a single meal.”

“The Malaysian restaurant to go in Manchester region. Great variety of Malaysian food available with good portion. Starters wise the satay, rojak and roti canai with curry is pretty good although the price for the satay is a little on the higher side. Mee Goreng and Nasi Lemak both are pretty good main options. Good variety of Malaysian drinks available as well. If looking for Malaysian restaurant in Manchester this would be their one to go. Limited parking outside. Sometimes can get a little busy during weekends so might need to book prior but otherwise seats are usually available. Waiting time varies with crowd.”

“Helen street chippy is a fantastic chip shop in peel green. Located on the corner on Helen street. Parking is street parking only but I've never had an issue finding a place. The staff are nice. There's a cold drinks fridge at an average price. The chips are lovely. Two types of curry sauce. Always hot and tasty food. Would recommend and I'm a regular customer here”

“Came in yesterday with a group of my friends, and I enjoyed the food and service very much. The atmosphere was lovely, and they had a great music selection. “What a lovely little restaurant. We ordered garlic bread with cheese - amazing. Then cannelloni and risotto for main. Both came piping hot and very tasty. Sticky toffee pudding and profiteroles for pudding. The profitaroles were the best I've ever tasted. Service was speedy and reasonably priced. Under £60 for 2 with drinks. Definitely worth a visit. They also offered gluten free pasta and pizza.”

“Beautiful. Located in the quaint town of Uppermill, this chic cafe bar is a faithful spinoff of one of Uppermill’s best cafes, Caffe Grande Abaco. This cafe bar has a nice rustic and authentic atmosphere, like a traditional cafe bar you may find in Italy. Also, the staff are really friendly (10/10), especially Nigel (the owner), who was great to me. Plus, I went to Caffe Grande Abaco for 10 years, and it was quite emotional to meet Nigel, as I was always asking the staff at Caffe Grande Abaco, “Is the owner in?”. Now, back to Veloce! The cafe offers a variety of drinks, handpicked from CGA (at this point, I’m going to shorten it - Caffe Grande Abaco). So, you can have a nice latte or a cosy hot chocolate while you chill and warm up here. Surprisingly, it is also a deli, since they have charcuterie meats and cheeses, condiments, authentic Mediterranean pastries and biscuits, and even freshly baked bread (so authentic!). I tried Rogers Pistachio Cruffin (mix between a croissant and a muffin) which was crispy and flaky on the outside, but fluffy and indulgent on the inside, and the silky pistachio cream made it even better. Perfect for breakfast! They also do sandwiches here, with fresh sourdough and scrumptious meats and cheeses and even flaky sausage rolls. What I really want to mention, however, is the fact that they are supporting local businesses. Most things here (the pastries, products and even honey) are made by small businesses in towns near Uppermill, which is really nice as Veloce is helping out those businesses. Overall, this place is a must if you are looking for a proper Italian cafe bar, and some delicious food. It is also perfect if you want to buy some charcuterie meats and cheeses, as they have a wide variety of them. Only complaint is, Veloce really needs to bring in some Arancini, as I don’t see much Arancini in Saddleworth, and I’m very sad about that.
