“An internationally accessible haven of tranquility providing escape from the city. Dunham Massey is a brilliant green area south of Manchester, well conectes to Manchester airport. A range of flora and fauna make for a wonderful nature trail and forage, or a humble walk passively absorbing the natural landscape including forested areas and open pastures featuring abundant wildlife. On our visit most of the amenities were closed due to a met office weather warning, but this didn’t stop us exploring the vast grounds in peace. They often talk about calm before the storm, but rarely the calm during the storm- which is what we experienced due to the lack of fair weather crowds. I can imagine on more typical days tje cafes and visitors centre complete this experience with a warm drink or a hot soup after a brisk autumn stroll. I look forward to experiencing these on a future visit.”

“I recently chose Cheshire Tile and Bathroom Studio for the design and supply of my en suite & family bathroom. Lindsay was amazing at every step of the way. She understood exactly what I wanted during the consultation and design phase and gave me lots of options to choose from. She is clearly very knowledgable and experienced, which made the whole process stress free. She was also able to advise on a fantastic fitter. The showroom is beautifully presented with lots of inspirational displays, along with a wide range of product to choose from, catering to lots of budgets. I would highly recommend both Cheshire Tile and Bathroom Studio and Lindsay!”

“It's a fantastic park with something for everyone! The area is huge and well-maintained. There's a lovely playground for children, picnic areas with barbecue facilities for families, and clean toilets that are free to use. Parking is reasonably priced—£1.50 for 2 hours and £2.50 for a longer stay. One of the highlights is the large lake with beautiful views, perfect for a relaxing walk or just enjoying nature. Highly recommended for a day out with family or friends”

“Saturday 17th May 2025 This pub in Hyde necmxt to the train station is not just a historical gem with a proper Clientelle, and the person behind was polite and helpful Good banter was had in the fantastic pub it was good fun. There were 4 fantastic not big brewet ales on tonight with good rock background music next door to the Hyde central station This pub, when drinking real ales in Hyde, is an essential visit”

“Great place for a beer or two. Definitely will be going back we got friendly service, I could also take my dog with we which was not a problem for staff as they were ready with doggy treats which was a nice surprise”

“I visited the Scorah Pharmacy in Hazel Grove yesterday for a shingles jab. The service I received was excellent; punctual, professional, thorough, well explained and the jab was so expertly administered by Mustafa, I barely felt anything. All whilst being COVID-safe. Finally a pdf of my vaccine details was emailed to me afterwards, brilliant. Thank you and well done to the team.”

“We booked The Mews and The South Cottage for 5 nights for our wedding. The cottages were spotless, the interiors were beautiful and the views and ground of the cottages were stunning. It felt like homely luxury! The layout worked really well in terms of the number of bathrooms etc. It was the perfect place to get family and bridesmaids together before the wedding and such a beautiful place to get ready on the wedding morning itself. Would definitely recommend.”

“Had a 2 night stay here for exploring the local attractions, the hosts are very Friendly and knowledgeable. A good choice of breakfast items that the cook for you fresh, good quality food too. The local pub just a short walk away has excellent dining for a relaxing evening too.”

“Nice day out, grounds are big and wheel chair/push chair friendly. Some steps involved but places to leave the pushchairs. Lots of nice flowers and good woodland areas, shame about the fountain and pool being dry tho or half dry! Lovely landscapes all round and well maintained. We spent couple hours here but have done many halls before, you can make it an all day thing with other activities near by or longer walks around the grounds. The best view for me came from the top of the fields just outside the house, if you have a good camera with a good zoom lens or binoculars it over looks Manchester and Manchester airport! Great for those plane watchers! Also in more windy weather like today it’s good for kite flying on the hill top.”

“What an amazing B&B. Sharon and Dave were simply wonderful hosts, with my family descending on them for the weekend for a nearby wedding. The beautiful flowers on the door were a good omen that we were in safe hands. The decor in the cottage was lovely and the whole place was well maintained. Sharon did a great job providing breakfast for all of us and they made us feel very welcome. It was a lovely break from urban life, would definitely recommend to others and I'd happily stay there again!”

“Amazing food, great service and unusual idea, all you can eat steak with the system of controlling when you wish to be served again by flipping the card from green to red. We visited last night for the first time and left really full and impressed. This is definitely not our last visit,the next time will probably come for bottomless service so drinks could flow as well. It's not cheap but it is worth the money. Everyone from the staff was very friendly and welcoming, the whole experience was just unforgettable including the deco and music. Thank you for having us and making our anniversary so special.
