“I stopped by Nail Culture the other day for a last minute manicure (my regular place cancelled on me last minute). I was looking for a nice nude, nothing extraordinary. The technician who took care of my nails, Christophe (or Christopher, sorry :) was great. He did a fast and very thorough job. They have a great colour selection, too. It’s not a place where I’d go to pamper myself, bang in the middle of a busy shopping centre. But for a fast manicure at £25, with such a beautiful result, it’s absolutely worth it. Mine is 7 days old, and it’s still immaculate.”

“I didn’t have high hopes for this place after reading some of the reviews posted here. However, we booked it as part of a ‘Date Night’ package with the Macdonald Hotel and I have to say I was actually very impressed with both the food and the service. I ordered fish and chips and my husband ordered the burger. My fish and chips was possibly the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant - perfectly cooked fish with the chunkiest chips I’ve ever seen! It came with a generous dollop of tartare sauce which was absolutely delicious. My husband’s burger also looked yummy - a proper thick juicy burger, well garnished and with a decent portion of fries. The waiting staff who served us were very polite and efficient too. I don’t think there’s anything I could find fault with. If I had to be picky about anything I’d say the air conditioning was possibly a bit on the chilly side but it didn’t make our evening any less enjoyable.”
