“I had the most incredible dining experience at The Roaches Lock on Sunday! The food was absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding throughout the meal. The waitress kept checking in with us to see if we required more drinks or needed anything else. I can't wait to come back and try more items from their menu. “Sanjay is a great landlord, best prices in Ashton and the beer is nice, always has deals on and a good selection to choose from. It's cash only but it reflects in the low prices. Fantastic bar staff who are always friendly, Anita is a lovely women. 2 clean pool tables that are well looked after, sports always on including the football. Doesn't open after 10pm and never has any idiots in as the landlord has no place or time for it.”

“Nice place for people of all ages to have fun, play games, and dine as there is a restaurant in there. My kids love it here, and they can never get enough of the games. You can go along with your coins or change your notes into coins to play the games.”

“Good value for money food, a decent selection of real ales if that is what you like (a taster offered to my partner so it was easier to choose). Always a friendly welcome from the landlady and bar staff alike. Great quiz on a Sunday night with free sandwiches and beer tokens as prizes. Ps the aforementioned "landlord " is no longer there.”

“Wow! wasn’t expecting this, Hartshead Inn on the verge of re-opening to the general public after a major refurbishment has elevated itself to become the best place in the area, in All aspects. Absolutely amazing, had an incredible evening! The interior is stunning, the food is amazing and what makes this even better, is how special the fabulous staff make you feel the moment you walk through the door. To have a restaurant pub of this quality has been long overdue in Saddleworth and the surrounding area. Big thanks to the Beth, Paige, Sam & Kaya for making the evening so memorable and to all the other members of staff working away in the background, was great to meet Megan and Craig from the corporate perspective too. So looking forward to returning very soon and on a regular basis.”

“I don't know why, but I've always thought this place would be a bit of a dive and so in the 30 years I've lived here, I've never been in. I'm sorry! However, as Stacked are now cooking here, we gave it a go. The bar staff were lovely and drinks were a lot cheaper than I've paid at other places which was a bonus. The guy on the bar also came over to make sure we understood the ordering process for Stacked which was good of him. Stacked was, as always, delicious and I'll review them separately. The only thing I will say, is that if you think Stacked is good when it's delivered, get down to the Prince of Orange and try it fresh!”

“Went for Sunday lunch here recently and I have to say the place looks amazing, the staff were lovely and the food was wonderful. My friend and I have been qualified chefs for many years and could not fault anything about our experience. The food was piping hot and the taste was superb. What we did like was the Manager asked us when paying the bill, could they do anything. Nice little touch.”

“Very good location, large beer garden. Very reasonable priced meals. Staff friendly and welcoming. Loads of offers on food throughout the week, very extensive menu. Plenty of choices. Only downside is if you go via the front entrance my auntie who uses a walking aid can not access the toilets. Other then this we've had a good few lovely meals.”
