Found Golden Crown based on a friends recommendation and happy to say we’ve found our new favourite! Bit of a drive but well worth it. “I am a student midwife and my uniform was very big and ill fitting. I went here and asked if they would alter my uniform to make it more fitting, and that I needed it in a timely manner and within 2 days it was done! I picked it up and all the alterations are amazing. They tapered, hemmed and brought the waist in perfectly! I also asked them to wash it whilst it was there and its come out brill. I will 100% be using these again in the future! Thank you!”

“I've been to this place many times and not once it has disappointed me. The italian potatoes, the pizza and the pasta is nothing but delicious. It comes for a decent prize and the staff are very talkative and i would recommend this for anyone who lives in the trafford council and outside as well as this place has every italian dish you can think of and also it's warm most of the time.”

“I call at the old lane chippy quite often now it’s under new management it’s been given a new clean look. Same staff serving with new management. Updated and with a bench to sit on while waiting for fresh food preparation. A good selection on the menu including an Asian themed dishes and traditional chippy food to choose from. It’s worth calling in for some delicious meal and a friendly reception.”

“This place has certainly become my go-to option on Uber Eats. Always some decent promotions going on with some food items on half the price. I must say I am always impressed with the packaging and quantity of food. The containers are absolutely loaded up to the brim, and the food is delicious. There are lots of options to choose from from the menu. I love the concept of 3 different gravies on a portion of rice, with each bite having a different taste to it. I have ordered about 4 times already, and I am always craving for more. Their chapatis are bang on. Can't fault much about them, to be honest. If suggestions are asked for, then perhaps they need to improve on their delivery times. Can take up to 100 minutes on a Friday. Also, might also need to hold off on the extra layer of oil added on every portion . It makes the food slightly oily and less clean. Love from barkwell lane”

Every dish I tried was delicious, piping hot, and regularly refilled, which kept everything fresh throughout the evening. We arrived just after 6pm when the restaurant had just opened, and there was no waiting time at all, which made the start of our meal even better. The flavours were rich and authentic — truly a delight for the taste buds. While it is a little on the pricey side, I think it is justified by the sheer range and quality of food on offer.
