We were greeted by jess she was very nice and friendly and showed us our seats and after a few moments taken our order just before our food came out she told us it won't be a few minutes. “I am thrilled about the extended opening times at B&M shops! The staff members were friendly and helpful as I was looking for specific items, and they promptly directed me to them. The store offers a fantastic selection, and I always end up purchasing more than I originally planned due to the tempting variety available. In this occasion was on the hunt for my kid party bag fillers which was themed SPA & Pampering, the good value for money face and feet masks plus the lipsticks and nail varnishes were a hit and good value for money!”

“We visit Chorley almost every month and love to eat at Hartwood Hall. Our favourite is the filet steak which is always cooked to perfection. All the staff are friendly and helpful. On our latest visit we were served by John and Pippa, always a delightful experience. This is a popular restaurant and yet there is always a parking space and it’s free. You know you can relax and enjoy the gentle atmosphere. In summer there are tables outside, a bit close to the main road for us, so we stay indoors. So are there any problems? Only two as far as I am concerned, they don’t offer blue cheese as a cheese or a sauce and pouring cream is not on the menu either. Despite this we keep coming back for the great food, try the Mac & Cheese as a great side dish, it goes with anything.”

“Fantastic preschool setting with very passionate and caring staff. My daughter attended this preschool and I cannot recommend it enough. It was a huge factor in her development especially during covid when the usual socialisation opportunities were extremely few and far between. Now she has started school and teacher's positive feedback on her preparedness level starting reception, social skills and confidence prompted me to write this review. “My daughter loved this nursery (and I did too). She started at 1 and stayed through till age 4 attending the Pre-school. I feel this nursery is very child centred, always keen to meet individual needs (Unlike some of the larger corporate nurseries). The staff are caring and the staff turnover is low. Management provide excellent customer service and you can really tell this is a family run business and the people running the nursery care. They also cater excellently for dietary needs. I feel they go above and beyond and for the children. Lots of exciting and well thought out events. I would recommend this nursery to any new parent.”

“I was very nervous about leaving my precious 10-month-old in nursery for the first time but she has settled in beautifully. The staff are very friendly and caring, and really listen to you to try to help your child settle in and thrive. The outdoor space is amazing and I love seeing photos of my little one playing outside. The nursery uses Tapestry to record photos and daily observations, so it's easy for parents to see what their little ones have been doing during the day. I'm very happy so far and look forward to seeing my daughter learn more skills at this nursery.”

“As a solo diner I generally visit The Lodge once a week.
