She made me feel very comfortable and I didn’t hesitate in contacting her for my second tattoo. I lost someone and wanted a tattoo in memory of them and she fit me in short notice and opened early to get it done for me. She really goes above and beyond!”

“Heart of gold is the correct name for this place as every person in there really does have a heart of gold! I’ve had 5 tattoos here from two of the girls (Louise and Demi) and they could not be more accommodating. They reply timely to enquires, have open minds to clients ideas and are always clear and honest about their expectations as artists to ensure the client is as happy as possible! The environment is so chill and welcoming which left me feeling comfortable (as getting tattoos can be quite nerve wrecking). Such an accessible shop as well, right in the middle of Manchester NQ which is accessible via pretty much every mode of transport! Wouldn’t go anywhere else for a tattoo!”

As a non-binary person traditional mens suit shops can be a bit stressful but my experience was amazing!! To top it off, they did all my alterations for free to such great quality! Jay gave me the freshest trim I've had in my life and was super friendly throughout. They are also advocated for men's mental health which I think is awesome. 10/10 will be going back!”

I have had my hair styled by Kelly and Abbie , both are brilliant and such lovely girls. I’m always happy with my hair. The whole staff are lovely , and when spending time having a colour , all of them look after you , offering a drink , chat and laugh. Highly recommend!”

“Popped in for a drink before my local club Rushall played Away to Curzon Ashton. Really chilled and relaxed vibe, as well as a fantastic array of music and cool knick knacks adorning the whole shop / bar. Although there is nothing on draught, the owner will happily decant any drink of choice into a cool cold glass. Went for a couple of the German Pilseners including the Jever which went down a treat. Only disappointment was that I didn't have more time to try a few more flavours. Will hopefully make a return in future seasons but well recommended and can imagine it is rightly busy in evenings.”

“I have been a customer of A&L for 9 years and the only reason why I gave them 5 starts is our accountant Jamie Davies. He is a star! His work and dedication is the only reason why I keep paying £300 p/m. Replies to my questions within hours, he is always helpful and knowledgable. We feel supported. However, the nice words end here. For years we were moved between different accountants because all of them were leaving or were sacked, barely met submission deadlines and it is entirely my fault that we endured the horrendous service. I know A&L did rebranding, changed management, and there were promises they will do better, I really can’t say if their service overall has improved. The only reason why I stay with A&L at this moment is Jamie. If he goes for sure we go too”
