“Beautiful. Located in the quaint town of Uppermill, this chic cafe bar is a faithful spinoff of one of Uppermill’s best cafes, Caffe Grande Abaco. This cafe bar has a nice rustic and authentic atmosphere, like a traditional cafe bar you may find in Italy. Also, the staff are really friendly (10/10), especially Nigel (the owner), who was great to me. Plus, I went to Caffe Grande Abaco for 10 years, and it was quite emotional to meet Nigel, as I was always asking the staff at Caffe Grande Abaco, “Is the owner in?”. Now, back to Veloce! The cafe offers a variety of drinks, handpicked from CGA (at this point, I’m going to shorten it - Caffe Grande Abaco). So, you can have a nice latte or a cosy hot chocolate while you chill and warm up here. Surprisingly, it is also a deli, since they have charcuterie meats and cheeses, condiments, authentic Mediterranean pastries and biscuits, and even freshly baked bread (so authentic!). I tried Rogers Pistachio Cruffin (mix between a croissant and a muffin) which was crispy and flaky on the outside, but fluffy and indulgent on the inside, and the silky pistachio cream made it even better. Perfect for breakfast! They also do sandwiches here, with fresh sourdough and scrumptious meats and cheeses and even flaky sausage rolls. What I really want to mention, however, is the fact that they are supporting local businesses. Most things here (the pastries, products and even honey) are made by small businesses in towns near Uppermill, which is really nice as Veloce is helping out those businesses. Overall, this place is a must if you are looking for a proper Italian cafe bar, and some delicious food. It is also perfect if you want to buy some charcuterie meats and cheeses, as they have a wide variety of them. Only complaint is, Veloce really needs to bring in some Arancini, as I don’t see much Arancini in Saddleworth, and I’m very sad about that. “This is a lovely little cafe on Pepper Road Industrial Estate and you can takeaway. I had a mango and berry smoothie and a sweet chilli and cheese panini. Both were absolutely delicious! Will definitely be coming back! The staff are also very friendly and welcoming.”

“This is my favourite Café. I always pop in for a breakfast/brunch when I'm in this area. I also love the Armenian dessert. Place is run by super kind and polite, and very professional people. Always smiled and happy to help. You can see how your food is made, as kitchen door are always open. It's always busy here but I've never waited for the food too long. Very tasty coffee. They also provide few toys for small children, so families are nicely welcome here. Prices are fair. I highly recommend that place for everyone, who values a good quality of food and expect a positive attitude from the staff. I've been here many times and for sure, I'll be coming back here soon.”

“Local couple following their dream. It’s a cafe but I haven’t visited during the day. As a bar they have Neck Oil and Cruzcampo on draught. Wine and spirits available. Gets busy and buzzy Friday and Saturday. Would be great if they do snacks eg meat platters, cheese, olives etc in summer. I wish you every success.”

“Robina and John are the most wonderful neighbours to have over the road from Hive Stores. They both work very hard to bring a lot more joy and creativity to the neighbourhood and are always willing to help where they can. The waiting room cafe has the best value full English around and the engine room is set to become a great creative hub. Whilst enjoying breakfast on our day off we conversed with familiar faces from the local neighbourhood who were enjoying crafts and socialising in a relaxed atmosphere. “Could have ripped us off for £800 after a mobile mechanic told us there was a problem with the oil pump. Instead they quickly worked out it was just that the oil light had automatically turned on as an automatic feature of having done a certain number of miles. Charged us £45 total for an engine diagnostic and to see what was going on with the glow plugs. Would recommend. We'll definitely continue to use them.”

“I bought a full body course of 6 laser treatments from Simi then a further course of 3 to treat some stubborn areas. After a bad experience with another salon, Simi immediately put me at ease and we discussed what I needed so a treatment plan could be put together. “Excellent!!! Definitely five stars! Brought my six year old here today and it was brilliant! Really cheap and such good fun. Staff brilliant, really helpful and friendly. One staff member in particular helped us a lot with the bigger wall and harnesses. We are 100% coming back. If you're an adult and accompanying a child, wear comfortable clothes because if you're physically able to join in; you will definitely want to! Excellent place. They also serve food and have good facilities.”

“Visited here today and had a great meal. The Gurkha beer is really nice, I told myself I'd only have one as they're 660ml but I ended up having 2 as they were so good. Ended up having the mixed main as a starter but if I went again I'd just have several portions of the lamb chops, the rest of the meat was very nice (quite spicy for anyone worried about spice) but the lamb chops were amazing. Had the duck masala main and the lamb Gurkha curry, would highly recommend the Gurkha Curry it was fantastic, the duck was nice it's different than most Curries so if you want something more aromatic it's something to try. Bread was nice, poppadoms nice and the chutneys were good too. Between 2 of us spent £77 but had separate sides, rice's and effectively 3 main courses and a couple of beers/soft drinks so I'd say it was good value for the quality and quantity of meat. Give it a try, you won't regret it.”
