“The food is made to order with fresh ingredients, the food is presented nicely and there is more than enough for 2 per course per person, the lady who took our order and served us was really nice and explained the dishes we was looking at and advised us on a few things as well, she took the time to have a chat with us inbetween courses, over all the food was excellent and we had food to take home with us too for later. There was only us in there so we had a good 2 hours to enjoy each course and enjoy our own company, we would definitely recommend to all our family and friends and we will be using this for our takeaway food as well as going back to eat in.”

“Exceptional taste. For the 30 minutes I was there and eating the food, I didn't miss Pakistan at all. What a delicious Lamb boneless Karahi & Chargha! If the chef was a female, I would have offered to marry her just so I could have this food at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Grateful to the owners of Daawat restaurant for offering pure desi taste in England. Wish they can open a branch near Manchester University so I can eat even more often. “The Hesketh is hands down the best place for a Sunday roast! I had the chicken roast and it was absolutely delicious – perfectly cooked, juicy chicken with crispy roast potatoes, fluffy Yorkshire pudding, and rich gravy that tied everything together beautifully. The portions were generous, the presentation spot on, and the flavours reminded me of a proper homemade Sunday dinner, only better! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It’s clear the team really take pride in what they do. If you’re looking for the perfect Sunday roast in the area, The Hesketh is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend and I’ll definitely be back next week !”

“We absolutely love The Cafe and we do probably order at least once a week. We do get breakfast and lunch! The food is always absolutely delicious and great portion sizes too! I love the little touches too, such as the odd extra crusty bread with our salad or sometimes a slice of cake with a little note and a smile! Great service, great food! Love it! Just sometimes they are so busy delivery is turned off but that just goes to show how popular they are! Definitely recommend!”

“What a welcoming pub. A group of us visited after the Oldham vs Woking game on Tuesday night. We were away fans, but made to feel at home straight away! Christine & Jess looked after us so well and we were even bought a round of drinks from one of the locals. We will definitely recommend The Rifle Range and be sure to visit for longer next time. “First time visiting this establishment. Very impressive. Clean, spacious layout. Friendly staff. Nice pint. Great selection of ales, lagers, spirits & soft drinks. Ordered 10oz steak rare. Cooked to perfection really good portion size. Will be returning to try the different dishes on offer. Also has a bar side and entertainment at weekends. Definitely recommend”

“Very good pub owned by Manchester Metropolitan University and run by the student union. The pub is a tap for the Bollington Brewery and had five cask beers - and 1 cider - on handpump when I visited. Lots of outdoor seating most of it covered.”

“Usually call in after work on Fridays as part of a walk around the pubs in Ashton, i like this pub good friendly atmosphere the landlandy is always polite snd welcoming never seen any trouble and never had a problem. I would recomend it .”
