“Just happened upon this place and popped in for lunch around 2.30pm on a Saturday. Lots of history and a quirky beer garden. Very quiet but soon livened up with plenty of locals and visitors just like us. Staff very friendly and helpful. The chowder was really tasty, creamy, full of fish and only a few mussels, little potato, just the way I like it. We shared dessert, chocolate cake with cream - so good. Definitely worth a visit.”

“Called in with my husband for the 50% off Friday we were not disappointed. Service was excellent, staff were very friendly. Atmosphere was excellent made you want to stay longer. Would definitely be back and would recommend to family and friends. Only one tiny criticism which is my personal opinion I would have liked my meal hotter. I had the turkey and ham hubby had roast beef.”
