“Only marked atmosphere as 4 cos it is early on Thursday night. Glad I ignored some of the reviews cos the food was top quality. Not up in this part of the country often but next time I am this will be first choice for my Indian food fix. Just nothing down in Cork compares to quality and value for money.”

“Had a big family party at The Central and it was a excellent! The outdoor area out back was perfect — loads of space and great vibes. Food was amazing (even the fussy eaters were happy) and the staff were absolute stars — super friendly, helpful, and on the ball. 10/10 would party there again!”

“Spend the weekend at this fantastic hotel. Staff were super friendly and helpful nothing was too much bother, went over and above for our group. Stayed in deluxe family room , beds comfy serviced every day. Used the spa facilities and they were impeccable. I am definitely returning for another stay and highly recommend it.”

“Went here as a group of eight and I have to say that I was positively surprised. The location right at the harbour, the ambiance and the food really blew my mind. The prices are good for the quality and amount of expertly prepared meals which include a starter and main course. Toilets are hygienic too. Really give this place a try - I highly recommend it!”

“My family and I had lunch in the bar on bank holiday Monday. As you would expect Newcastle was very busy as was this bar however the manager and serving staff let people know the possible waiting time and gave updates until our food was served. The bar itself was well stocked and cocktails are definitely on the menu with their own mixologist to provide recommendations. The food was warm, delicious and well presented. I had haddock and chips, my husband had a burger (it arrived with bacon cheese and 3 huge onion rings) and my son had beef stir-fry. The interior is very eclectic with lots of oldie worldie gadgets, posters and ornaments relating to Newcastle and Northern Ireland. We were seated beside the window and had a fantastic view of the sea and the busy main street - definitely the best position for watching the world go by. Our waitress was wonderful, friendly, professional and asked numerous times if there was anything else we needed. I would definitely recommend a visit - we will be heading back”

“First time I was ever here, always wanted to go. Place is beautifully decorated inside, much bigger than you would imagine from outside. The cocktails are gorgeous and the staff are very friendly and attentive. We ended up getting food too, which was also really lovely. The menu is also great and a little different from all the menus that are in a lot of places now, which is nice.”
