βA lot to do with your child. We'll build sturdy slides and swings so parents and children can use them together. Plenty of room and benches tooβ
βHad the most amazing meal here, big portions, amazing service. The Pork Loin escalope was amazing, the mushroom sauce was beyond amazing. The dressing on the side salad was out of this world, cannot wait to visit this restaurant again!β
βWOW what a stay!! From the moment we walked through the door, Adam made us feel so welcome. We checked into our room which was lovely and booked for food in the evening, which was amazing. We stayed for 2 night and staff were super friendly and chatty, we didn't want to leave and would defiantly stay again. This is a beautiful local restaurant with only 9 room off it, all on the flat with easy access.β
βThe service at the bar, when I ordered food was small, there were 2 people working, who tried their best, but there was a long queue and the time to order food was longer than usual. The restaurant has a good atmosphere, I and my guests felt very good. The music was calm and we could talk, it was not loud. The place consists of a ball, a fan zone with a large TV, a bar part, a family part, a garden, a playground.β
βI was staying at the local Premier Inn, but fancied a beer elsewhere. The nearest was the Crown then Sun. There were a few dodgy reviews about the Crown but thought I would still have a look in as it was the first I came to. The locals were all playing skittles (a new experience for me being a northerner), had a go too. Made to feel very welcome by all. Young lady behind the bar was lovely (the teacher). The landlady hasn't been well, but came down stairs at the end of the night and she was very nice too. Judge people as you find them... Never made it to the Sunβ
βStopped by on a Saturday lunchtime. My husband had the steak (often a risky choice) but he was very happy with it, I had the lasagna, it was delicious, nice and cheesy. My son had the Gammon it disappeared pretty quickly so it must have been ok. Lovely pub in a lovely location. Would definitely go back.β
βNice canal lock side pub. Very nice beers/ales. Good menu available and we were told how good the Sunday lunch was, but we didn't eat there.β
βGreat pub. Excellent team! Greta place for a bite to eat and watch sports, we asked for the darts and it wasn't an issue, will definitely be backβ
βSpent a Saturday afternoon here for a friend's birthday, we opted for the Β£30 meal and drinks deal. The food choices were great, the cocktails were delightful and the staff were very attentive couldn't do enough for us. Great atmosphere and a fabulous afternoon.β
βAUTHENTIC Nigerian food absolutely delicious made with fresh ingredients hand picked by the chef. Lovely flavours and loads of choices to pick from, very good value as well. Highly recommend.β
ββοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ The Anchor Fenlake is a fantastic pub with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The combination of a cozy setting, great drinks, and authentic Kenyan cuisine makes it a truly unique spot in Bedford. The food is fresh, flavorful, and well-preparedβI highly recommend trying their special dishes! The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure every guest has a great experience. The pub also has a great selection of drinks, a lively atmosphere with sports screenings, and fun pub games like darts and pool. Whether youβre looking for a relaxed evening out, a place to enjoy a good meal, or just a great pub vibe, The Anchor Fenlake is definitely worth a visit!β
βAccess is from the staircase at the back by the waterside. Freshly renovated with a rather pinky look inside. Tastefully done though. You can reserve a table online if you wish.. Plenty of friday evening entertainment with live singers. A large spacious area with lots of seating. A dance floor too. Outdoor seating for warmer nights with nice views. Its not just for youngsters, there seems to be a mixed age range inside which is nice to see. VERY nice cocktails. Service was quick. Do choose carefully on the food menu, I'd say they were more warm snacks than actual large plated meals.β
βI honestly don't know what people are moaning about. We pulled up on the boat. Free of charge And were greeted with great hospitality. We had the best cider and food was delicious the fish and chips was the best ever fish was nice and thick. Chips were awesome cooked perfectly home made tarter sauce hot. Butter to melt over extra crusty bread. My cheese and chicken leak pie was hand made cooked in an oven skillet pan , beautiful and ate outside before falling asleep on the boat woke up had cappachino and cooked breakfast. Claiton was lovely my cappachino was taken to a sunny table in the garden. Best experience ever.β
βBooked a table for 6, seated promptly, extremely busy time of the day and every table full, they still managed to serve quickly at the carvery station with lots of choice and replaced anything that was running low immediately, the atmosphere was very pleasant, family dining at its best, the food is fresh and filling, the cake after was delicious but no way we could eat it in 1 go. Its huge but from start to finish a real pleasure. And the staff are speedy. Friendly and efficientβ
βI ordered fries and it came piping hot, not overly salted and in a good portion. I absolutely enjoyed my meal. Also, Faye was the staff that served me and she was an absolute darling. Very polite, bubbly and came to check in about my order or if I needed anything else. I great experience overall.β
βWe stayed for one night in a beach hut in the village, enjoyed the light trail on the Saturday evening and then spent Sunday in the park with a visit to Santa on the seventh of December. It was our first time visiting Gullivers Land and even though the weather was a little miserable we had a brilliant couple of days that our children will always remember. Every member of staff we met was friendly and went above and beyond to make the experience special for the children. A particular mention goes to Mitchell on Dragon Siege who was fantastic. Everything was well organised and ran smoothly. We would happily return.β
ββI spent New Yearβs Eve here and I am still blown away by the value for money. For just Β£10 per person, I wasn't expecting much, but the night exceeded all expectations. βThe Highlights βThe Food: The price included a full 3-course meal. The portions were generous, and the quality was surprisingly good considering the ticket price. βThe Entertainment: After dinner, there was a disco that kept the energy high all night. The music selection was great and perfect for seeing in the New Year. βValue: Brilliant. In an era where many venues charge triple digits for New Year's Eve, getting a meal and a full night of entertainment for Β£10 is unheard of. βFinal Verdict βIf youβre looking for a night that offers a fantastic atmosphere without the "holiday markup," this is it. Brilliant value for money and a great way to start the year!β
βLovely setting and really nice looking bar and restaurant. Carvary is excellent value and really tasty. A variety of options depending if you just want a small meal or you want to go all out on a massive meal with extra meat and additional items. Irrespective of the size of your meal everything is competitively priced. As with all carvarys you get unlimited veg. The other bonus is they do not hike up the prices behind the bar. Had a great visit and will be returningβ
βFood is excellent value for money. Friendly staff, lovely surroundings inside. Is a private dining room for groups too. Variety of tables and booths. Subdued lighting.β
βAn important and vital arts organisation committed to genuine community and youth engagement, delivering work of the very highest quality under artistic director Chris Gorry.β
βReally great place, can only talk about my violin teacher as, i haven't experienced the coaching of any of the other teachers. He is really patient and friendly, very knowledgable and happy to answer any technical questions i have. Everyone is very friendly, particularly the receptionist who is lovely.β

βMy husband and I have been attending the classes for over two years now and we thoroughly enjoy them. Lynn, Stuart and Jenny are great teachers and lovely people. The classes give us a great opportunity to do something together as a couple in a very friendly atmosphere and with pleasant and fun company.β
