“This cafe is of the highest standard in my opinion. Service is always with a smile and Lisa our server is always very friendly and helpful when we visit. The food is tasty and well cooked, the fish and chips are the best in the area and the curry is superb. The Chef is not stingy with the portions either, there's always plenty on the plate. The seating area is large and clean with views over the downstairs sale rooms on one side and the large car park on the other. Prices have increased slightly but the quality justifies it I think. It's a good place to eat even if you don't want to go to the auction downstairs.”

“This is a very pleasant little local cafe attached to a very well stocked haberdashery and craft shop. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and a good range of snacks, light meals and, most importantly, cakes are available. Though not itself located in the most scenic part of Oakley, this cafe makes a useful final stop for a local walk.”

“I love this place. Probably it's combination of all: the amazing park (it's inside Bedford Park), the restaurant building (old-ish), the natural style decor & cleanliness, relax & friendly atmosphere, last but not least can order eggs benedict, which not too fancy, but quite delicious. Food fingers also available. I'm a tea drinker but not a sweet tooth person. The yogurt is rather too sweet for my liking. Wished they aren't, because I like the taste.”

“This brand new Starbucks location is really nice. Inside is very tidy and well presented, the service was very quick and the food and drinks were very good also. This is a much more cosy location compared to the Bedford town centre Starbucks. There is a drive-thru here as well as adequate free parking right outside.”

“My wife and I visited Bedford on 30/9/23, our first visit for several years. We wanted something to eat and saw Zaza, which wasn't there on our last visit. We crossed over and looked at the menu and decided to venture in. We are pleased we did ! I had an English breakfast with black pudding as an extra and my wife had a jacket potato with cheese. My plate was full and I gave my wife one of the rashers of bacon and a slice of black pudding to go with her jacket potato. The meals were excellent and nicely cooked. Our server was nice and friendly and she said they have been open for about a year, when I asked. It will probably be a long while before we return to Bedford but we certainly hope Zaza is still there so we can eat there again.”

“First time using this pool and really really impressed! Water nice and warm! Waves great! Not over-crowded and more to do than most other pools in the area! And totally agree with the other reviews about the life guards........ there were loads of them AND they were actually doing their job! Will definitely be making the 30 minute journey from Northampton to come here again! (and really hope the outdoor part does open in the future.....would be the icing on the cake!)”

“My first visit to City Café. Nice coffee at a very good price. A modern look, with the counter being more of a Bar, and there is also a line of stools along it. The rest of the premises has adequate seating, sofas, benches and chairs. Nicely spaced out too, so you don't feel crowded. The prices are good, the staff are welcoming and pleasant, and there's a relaxed atmosphere too. Definitely worth a visit.”

“Out on a bike ride and it’s always hard to find somewhere nice to stop for a quick coffee. Saw the Dragonfly Cafe as I cycled through Harold and after 20 miles on the road a coffee was definitely calling. This is a new cycle route for me and my first visit to the cafe and the staff were pleasant and although I just had a coffee and a slice of toast (very simple) it hit the spot and I had no complaints. Coffee was hot and the toast was perfectly toasted. I sat outside with my bike and it was brought out to me pretty quick. I will be back”

“Towers Health & Racquets Club is a great place to train and unwind. The gym has a good range of equipment, and the courts are always in good condition. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is relaxed but professional. It can get a little busy at peak times, but overall it’s a great club to visit even as a guest.”
