“Great place to start your day with a healthy breakfast choice. We had avocado on toast with some red tea which was amazing. Ambience was good too. Unfortunately we did not get a takeawy of hot food.”
“We had the whole upstairs area to ourselves, overlooking the lakes, surrounded by various artefacts from the lakes themselves! Brilliant, chill atmosphere. We all had the hot dogs which were huge, came loaded with onions, and were very cheap. The staff also had no issues with us taking the mustard up to our table.”
“Regular stop with friends before Saint's games on Saturdays. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Can get busy at times. New menu has just started ( September 2024). Would really be useful if the menu could be added to the Facebook page. Prices are good and affordable.”
“Had an absolutely fabulous time today! Great selection of games, yummy cakes and friendly service. Will be recommending to all my friends and family, and we will certainly be back.”
“Since moving to Newport Pagnell in August Farthing Brothers has become the go to spot for me and my partners coffee. Not only is the coffee top tier but Joel and Sam are always happy to see you and serve you with a smile. Grabbing a coffee always turns into a conversation which in my opinion is an ideal way to start any day.”
“I can't comment on the food but the drinks were reasonably priced and a nice atmosphere.”
“Fantastic local cafe. Fry up is banging for the price, coffee is tasty and the staff are amazing.”
“We came here for dinner with a group of friends. Service was quick and attentive and the pizza was incredible. We will definitely be returning. It is worth booking the table in advance as it’s a small restaurant. Lovely menu selection with clearly labelled vegetarian options too!”
“Mexican spicy chicken was awesome, and properly spicy! Was craving a traditional sandwich shop baguette where nothing is skimped on and this place delivered. Will be back!”
“Amazing wonderful spot! Been coming here for months now and they never disappoint. Service, food and atmosphere is always phenomenal and so outstanding! Definitely worth a visit and I am pleased to say I’m a regular customer. The Salama and Cheese Ciabatta is spectacular! Not enough good positive words sum up my admiration for this spot!”
“We dropped in this afternoon, for a well earned break and the atmosphere was so nice. The staff were very pleasant and the cake delicious. Thank you for adding that bit more sunshine, to an otherwise, beautiful sunny warm day. By the way I love the baby milk bottles. Lelly xxx”
“A real gem in Milton Keynes! Always incredibly welcoming, great coffee and generous portion sizes! We always struggle to leave without taking a slice of delicious cake or tray bake with us!”
“Love this place. The bread pudding is to die for. We always have a prawn bap and a coronation chicken bap. Lovely food and lovely ladies that work there. Thankyou for being you.”
“Always great quality food at the shed, from burgers, breakfast to paninis. Very quick service, great value for money, and great service. The place also looks great, nice dining area, but also lounge area for students to relax, meet, and work.. and the whole building looks lovely as the renovated train engine shed, even with rail tracks running down the middle!”
“Just been for a track day there, thought the facilities were great :)”
“Absolutely stunning and peaceful estate, perfect for a family day out. The grand tree-lined driveway creates a beautiful first impression, with free parking, clean facilities, and a welcoming tearoom offering drinks, cakes, and light meals on the terrace. The grounds surround Castle Ashby, a magnificent Elizabethan-style mansion built in the late 16th century, later enhanced with classical architectural features. Its historic presence adds depth and elegance to the entire visit. A short walk from the entrance takes you to the orangery, built in the 19th century in a refined Victorian Italianate style. Inside, you'll find a tranquil pond with fish, lush exotic plants, and classical sculptures that match the era's aesthetics. Nearby stands the medieval Church of St Mary Magdalene, connected by a lovely woodland path that leads to an 18th-century terracotta bridge. Just past the bridge, there is a covered observation hut with two large benches and an information panel to help you identify local fish and bird species in the water below. Continuing your walk, you’ll reach a charming small animal zoo—undoubtedly the highlight for many visitors. The meerkat enclosure is a joy to watch, and you’ll also see parrots, goats, pigs, ducks, and tiny monkeys. After leaving the zoo, the path leads through a lavender-filled alley and loops back toward the orangery. The full visit takes about two hours, and bringing a picnic blanket and snacks is highly recommended. The grounds close at 4 PM, and entry is £14 per adult, which is well worth it for the history, nature, and relaxing atmosphere. A truly memorable and enriching experience.”
“Such a gorgeous cafe, the food and drinks were delicious and staff were lovely. The mill is full of character and if you want to find out more you can go on a self guided tour by scanning QR codes. Absolutely loved the decor, I will definitely be heading back and really want to try their food truck Fridays.”
“Absolutely beautiful food at such amazing prices. The staff are also so so lovely! They make you feel so welcome and appreciated. Highly recommend this beautiful little restaurant.”
“I always have the brunch but take out tomatoes and mushrooms because I’m in the carnivore diet. I’ve designed this poster because I want everyone to pop in and enjoy the atmosphere and great food.”
“The Hat Factory is a brilliant venue that showcases all manner of different events for all ages and interests. I visited because they had an Acid Jazz Exhibition which brought back fond memories of my 20's. Ive since been back for an evening with former Luton manager David Pleat and physio John Sheridan, like I said they really do a great variety of events there for all tastes.”
“Can get very busy at the weekend. Check the facebook page for different themed events. Saturday 10-2pm typically is Pokémon time, where an army of kids trade and buy cards. They have a good selection of drinks and custom milkshakes. Aswell as food menu items. Good for kids and adults of all ages. Ps: they also have a free board game area with a wide selection of board games to play for free. (But also buy).”
“Great food at very reasonable prices. We had the Giggle special, American and Scottish. All were fantastic options. Friendly staff. Like the decor. Seating outside... for the warmer months. Definitely recommend!!”
“Very happy with my experience with A Bell, and received the BBQ very quickly with very useful presents. Anish from Customer care made my experience WoW. A big thanks to the team and Anish again, the right person in the right position makes our life much easier.”
“Went on a recommendation from a family member. Did not disappoint. Had the cream tea, £10 per person, plenty food. Was delicious.”
“I can't recommend this place enough! It's perfect for a nice lunch out with friends, with very competitive prices and delicious food. Their cakes are incredible!”
“Lovely old school cafe. Good prices and friendly staff.”
“Lovely little play park for the kids. Take my granddaughter for walks and a swing”
“Decided to stop in and go pumpkin picking with the kids. We wernt planning a visit, just passed by on the way to Market Harborough. So glad we did. Everyone was friendly, saw a horse and a goat, got some pumpkins and had a nice little walk around the farm. Fun times had by all”
“Really good food at low prices will definitely be using this cafe more. Lovely friendly staff too well worth a try if you haven't been here.”
“Only disappointed I didn’t come here before! The owner is super nice, very knowledgeable and you can tell he loves his business and what he does. The food was beautifully presented, tasted fantastic and very reasonably priced. These guys have a fantastic menu and I can’t wait to come back to try more!! There is parking at the rear and if you eat there they will even pay your parking! HIGHLY RECOMMEND”
