“Fit for purpose soft play. Staff nice enough if slightly under staffed on this Monday. Go karts were not operating due to said shortage of staff. Entry price acceptable for location Cafe prices reasonable but it's older coffee machines that use powdered milk not proper steamed milk that ends up in your latte Didn't order food as you can get cheaper n healthier elsewhere ******"Update from second visit******* After speaking to staff before arriving the go carts were able to be run and they are a cracking bit of fun. Even tried the menu and the kids meals are value for money and the adult meal was nice enough ######### THIRD VISIT ########### As usual good value soft play just outside Nottingham. Clean even though some of the movable soft play elements are starting to show their age. More than happy to run the kiddy karts for the little one. Still not the best hot drinks but the skin on fries were lovely. A little bit quieter than I expected for a bank holiday weekend. As always will come again.”

“As a new mum of my first baby, sending her to nursery was just terrifying for me. It wasn’t a route I particularly wanted to take (no one wants to return from maternity leave but it has to be done in some situations!) We were recommended Childrens First from a friend and thought we’d just take a look. From our first visit with Kate (Nursery Manager), I knew this was the place my girl was going to thrive. Kate is truly incredible and you can tell from the moment you meet her, this isn’t a job to her, she loves those children as her own. She knew each child by name and circumstance as we were walking round. Nothing is too much for her, each child’s need are met by a each personal circumstance. They work round your child’s needs and routine which I thought was so important. As I mum you spend the first year of their life working on a routine and what works best for them, put them into a nursery and think that is just going to go out the window, absolutely not here. A few settling visits, dad was even able to pop and visit before her first day which was lovely as dads do generally have to miss out on things like this, but as I said, nothing is too much. From her first day, they aren’t assigned a key worker, they let your child pick who they take a shine to, which I LOVED. My daughter has took a shine to Miss Amy. Her first and second day she was particularly upset when I dropped her off, nothing less than I expected being in a strange setting, but I called a few hours later and Miss Amy put my mind at ease to say she calmed down within half an hour and has been making them laugh with her silly faces and giggles ever since. They cuddle them when they need it. I saw this with my own eyes during our settling visits, the younger babies that needed abit of extra comfort and support were sat on the knees of those wonderful ladies in the baby room whilst they still played with the other children. It is impossible to give each child 100%, im a realist, but they do there very best too and I cannot ask for any more. They are all super heroes in that room. Special mention to Millie on reception from greeting you with a smile every drop of and pick up! They really do put your Children First and everything else follows so naturally!”

“All 3 of my children have attended bearcare over the years... Dating back to 2001 when our journey with the nursery first began... Now, having 2 granddaughters who started their nursery chapter in 2021, exactly 20 years after our journey first began, who absolutely love attending nursery.... both girls having grown in confidence, developed very good social skills, built fabulous relationships with all staff, especially their key workers Michelle and Rosanna, whom are two of the staff members that originally cared for my own children and now caring for my grandchildren... which is absolutely priceless, in my opinion, just goes to show how passionate these staff members are to still be working within this profession. And it certainly put my sons mind at rest knowing these ladies who cared so well for him, would be caring for his own children... And now with a third grandchild starting in January 2025, my daughter didn't even look at any other nursery establishment but decided straight away, this was the place for her knowing her nieces are thriving and love the setting just sealed the deal. Carlton and Gedling was a great nursery 25+ years ago and is just as fabulous now. Staff are very caring and attentive, are always willing to help and support you in any way they can... It's a rarerity now a days, having such long term staff. Even the younger generation workforce whom are there to work and train, are caring, attentive towards the children. And that's all you can ask of them. Bearcare, thank you for everything you have done for us in the past, and want to thank you for the here and now. Everything you do is for the children's best interests and we couldn't ask for anything more. You are all very much appreciated for all you do for the girls on a daily basis.
