“Went on a Friday evening, very busy with Internet orders. Four staff on, I was served immediately, they cooked my burger from fresh and I waited about 8 - 10 minutes. No problems, nice staff.”

“I was gifted a wine tasting experience for two at Taste First. My husband and I attended and we have both come away saying how brilliant it was! James was particularly accommodating and even though we are wine novices he made us feel very welcome. James has a chat with you before hand, to get an understanding of the type of wines you like, he then adapts the tasting to suit! He makes a real effort not to just give you your ‘go to’ wine, but gives you options that are similar but something you wouldn’t usually try. The place has a lovely atmosphere and whether it was new or regular customers coming in, James was a great host to all! The deli board from Cleo’s was delicious too! Another nice touch is the candles that they sell (they smell so good!) using the empty wine bottles. Thank you for a lovely time, we will certainly be back”

It smells amazing just walking in. Mario looked after us mostly, with the help of a young lady later on. Food is top notch, we had steaks for main course, 1 sirloin & 1 fillet. Cooked perfectly & with a great sauce too. Starters were gorgeous & good sized portions (garlic mushrooms & paté), and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert is just amazing....the tiramisu is also very good. “Visited for the Sunday buffet which was out of this world. Very tasty, hot and fresh. Chicken 65 so tasty! Best chutneys I have had with popadoms. Lamb Rogan Josh, chefs chicken curry and chicken tikka masala all delicious. Staff very friendly and attentive. A fabulous restaurant and highly recommend.”

“We are struggling to put into words how perfect Cockliffe is as a wedding venue. The staff, the grounds, the rooms, the food, the location - everything about Cockliffe is second to none. A massive shout out to Emilie who was our wedding coordinator, nothing ever seemed too much trouble, her personal support was greatly appreciated and we were sad to see her leave at the end of her shift on our big day! From our initial booking, to the online portal, the tasting evening to our big day - everything was faultless and easy to navigate. All the staff are so lovely and always smiling, the help with our decorations and the way they set them out was brilliant. The exclusivity of the venue was executed seamlessly, they have the operation down to a fine art, you truly wouldn't know that there are weddings the day before or after your own. A big factor for us was having a dog friendly venue and Cockliffe definitely is, they are so welcoming and even have a dog friendly room so our boy could be there for the whole day. We booked the rooms out for our guests to stay and they all commented on how spotless and wonderful they were. Our day was honestly perfect and we have to give a lot of the credit to Cockliffe and all the staff, we would recommend the venue to anyone and everyone. Thank you again, Mr & Mrs Goodwin”

“What a lovely evening with my family the service and the food was absolutely fantastic. Plus plus a great selection of drinks if you are not driving. I fully recommend don't eat all day if you are going as the selection of dishes is unbelievable, savory and sweet. the age range we took was 8yrs to 60yrs and they loved it.
