    St Giles Pre School

“My 4 children attended this preschool, the quality of care is outstanding. They have great structure to their day, a lovely outside play area and a section of garden for growing fruit and vegetables, learning through play at it's best. A lot of the children go on to attend West Bridgford Infant School so it's a good opportunity for them to make friends they will continue their education with.”

“As a new mum of my first baby, sending her to nursery was just terrifying for me. It wasn’t a route I particularly wanted to take (no one wants to return from maternity leave but it has to be done in some situations!) We were recommended Childrens First from a friend and thought we’d just take a look. From our first visit with Kate (Nursery Manager), I knew this was the place my girl was going to thrive. Kate is truly incredible and you can tell from the moment you meet her, this isn’t a job to her, she loves those children as her own. She knew each child by name and circumstance as we were walking round. Nothing is too much for her, each child’s need are met by a each personal circumstance. They work round your child’s needs and routine which I thought was so important. As I mum you spend the first year of their life working on a routine and what works best for them, put them into a nursery and think that is just going to go out the window, absolutely not here. A few settling visits, dad was even able to pop and visit before her first day which was lovely as dads do generally have to miss out on things like this, but as I said, nothing is too much. From her first day, they aren’t assigned a key worker, they let your child pick who they take a shine to, which I LOVED. My daughter has took a shine to Miss Amy. Her first and second day she was particularly upset when I dropped her off, nothing less than I expected being in a strange setting, but I called a few hours later and Miss Amy put my mind at ease to say she calmed down within half an hour and has been making them laugh with her silly faces and giggles ever since. They cuddle them when they need it. I saw this with my own eyes during our settling visits, the younger babies that needed abit of extra comfort and support were sat on the knees of those wonderful ladies in the baby room whilst they still played with the other children. It is impossible to give each child 100%, im a realist, but they do there very best too and I cannot ask for any more. They are all super heroes in that room. Special mention to Millie on reception from greeting you with a smile every drop of and pick up! They really do put your Children First and everything else follows so naturally!”

“Spent a lovely and informative day learning about Aromatic botany on the cpd course today. The morning was spent in the 'classroom' learning the theory behind it and the afternoon spent at Hardwick Hall as a more practical aspect. Overall a great educational day and I feel that I have learnt a lot to support my prior knowledge as an aromatherapist. Marie is a wonderful teacher and it has been a pleasure to meet her.”

“Millfield has been the answer to our childcare wishes for over 3 years! Our daughter absolutely loves everything about it, especially the staff - they're like an extension to our family! The love, care and attention that has been shown to our family is outstanding! The environment is clean and organised with lots of toys, creative and imaginative space. Outside is huge and children can have some freedom whilst under watchful eyes! I've travelled from Bingham daily and have never had a problem travelling by car or parking. I have no regrets choosing Millfield to care for our little one!”

“My little boy currently attends, he has only been there for 3 weeks and they already know his personality, habits and routine. He has been to a previous nursery and honestly this is hands down the best nursery. All the staff are lovely, cannot fault any of them. My baby smiles and laughs when he goes in and when we pick him up, this was rare at the other nursery and he would not willingly go to staff. Here he loves them all. If your thinking of sending your child to nursery, they will be in safe hands here.”
