“Just had an excellent experience in the shop. Leon was very kind and helpful, and guided us through. Ended up buying the equipment we were looking for. If you want to buy exercise equipment, look no further. They have their own parking at the end of shop. 10/10.”

“First the few times these days I visit desperate measures these days I find the staff friendly and helpfull and a well stocked shop , and I may have being singing its praise but for the fact that when I took up canoeing 7 or 8 years ago though it seems longer I bought all my kit from desperate measures at there old shop, being my first new kayak I thought not really knowing anything about the sport ,I found the seal around the cockpit was open ? Being a suspicious git why is the seal broken ? And shouldn't there be side pads for the hips ? To which they don't come with this boat and something about WhiteWater speck I think ? So I thought is that right and got on with it and made my own foam pads and sealed them in shrink wrapp and got on with it,forward 7 years still had the suspicion is the right? So did the review and mark the owner the owner got back to me to explain the first answer was correct and I was wrong ,OK I accept that , um thinking about it in fact I have never seen one with side pads beside my own made ones , and the broken seal well how do we carry a kayak ? Put our shoulders inside and carry on our shoulders , so in on this I have to apologise for my first rating , and do occasionally buy kit from desperate measures,”

“Came to restring my badminton rackets. Really friendly staff and met the owner when came to collect the racket. They are happy to spend time with you, knowledgeable. They have their bigger shop in Leicester and can bring anything you need. They do all sorts of rackets, like tennis and squash. Quick turn around, got my racket the next day.”

“Simply love it. Great experience collecting from Nottingham warehouse, worth the trip to chat to the guys there. Really easy to set up (tri bars and pedals and plug it in!). Never thought I would get hooked on working out alone, but love it in my refurbed garage! Cup of tea brought to me half way by the misses, radio blaring out and not disturbing anyone, great challenges/work-outs/climbs on the WattBike app (no need for a subscription) - simply couldn’t ask for more (well maybe my data could be better, but the plan is the WattBike will deliver that…..!!)”

“Visited the shop today for the first time to get my son a cricket bat. What amazing staff everyone was so helpful and very knowledgeable. Great selection of cricket equipment too. First thing they did was measure my son’s height to get the correct bat size. My son was then introduced to the different types of bats. He wanted a GM Ben Stokes, he tried it out with a few shots and loved it. I got an adult bat too. We were also given a demonstration on the best way to oil and knock in the bat. Great shopping experience, thank you.”
