“Tha food is wonderful, however, it's cash only, make sure you ask for your receipt or you won't get one. Service when we went there last week, was slow and I'm not totally sure how to describe the two guys working the tables, one was really nice, the other though was pleasant, but not sure about him! We were 8, 6 adults one 5 year old and a baby, and we were a loud group, so maybe he had reservations about us. We did have a lovely evening despite my gripes.”

“We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. We were given a lovely selection of fresh tasty meze and warm fresh pide bread to start. I had the Adana Kebab which tasted authentic and was absolutely delicous. Finished off with a beautiful turkish coffee. “So came here about 3 weeks ago for Sunday carvery. Told staff best carvery I’ve ever had . So much meat selection and vegetables everything I liked was there :) will be my new favourite place for Sunday carvery. Nice staff and lovely place. Top notch food”

“Love this restaurant mainly because of the lovely people who work there. They are always so helpful and friendly. The decor of the place is wonderful, the food is very good and a reasonable price. I've visited several times, and it's definitely my favourite place to eat in Epworth now. Something to note. I take my elderly mum there for a meal and she can't climb stairs and the restaurant and toilets are upstairs! However, the staff are happy for us to eat in the bar downstairs, and the service is prompt, so this has not been an issue.”

“Easy to see why this is a Good Beer Guide CAMRA 2023 pub. Proper town centre two room pub with an older cliental opposite the station. Madge went for Acorn Barnsley bitter as the very short lived British August Summer ended in a downburst. Really love the traditional back lounge. Madge took a pint of Acorn Barnsley bittet. Lovely. Nice place to start or finish a Doncaster pub crawl.”

“Went for a meal here last night, with family and wow the food was amazing. Not often I'm defeated by a meal, but the burger won last night that's for sure. Great quality food and Big portions. Can't wait to go back.”

“This restaurant was recommended and see why. The food, staff and location was wonderful. We had the 'while you waiting' snack - delicious, then starters, main course and sweet. All the food was tasty and flavoursome. I had the homemade 'pie of the day' (mushroom and ale) which was absolutely delicious and plentiful. The triple cooked chips (pinched from my wife's plate) were some of the best we have ever tasted. The menu is not extensive but after seeing what other diners had ordered as well, we noticed all the dishes had the same care and quality and represented very good value. The staff were very attentive and pleasant and we insisted on leaving a service charge as none was included. We throughly recommend this establishment.”

“Visited the Tut n Shive, yesterday. A busy Saturday night, from walking in even though the staff were busy I was acknowledged immediately and told be one minute. “This is without any doubt, the best Chinese restaurant in Yorkshire. With a car park included, a dress code is in place, a shirt is required for gents and no shorts. Food is excellent, on top of quality and the facilities are amazing and plenty of space, don't need to be sat in less than half a meter from the other table. Service is absolutely outstanding as well , very focused and pending for any request, it is a very pleasant experience every time I come with the family. Price is according to the quality, don't expect fast food pricing for this standard and this service.”

“Trip out to see my best mate's sister n partner with his grandson who has cerebral palsy. Pub is wheelchair friendly n dog friendly. Very comfortable n extremely polite n friendly bar staff. And they had a right selection of draught beers. My mate n I had a couple of pints of draught mango cider - outstanding. All in all a most enjoyable afternoon”

“I have been staying with the pastures hotel for around 2/3 year through work purpose. I have to travel around 2/3 hours sometimes to get there, The staff are nothing but warm and friendly, they are always happy to help and super approachable. The rooms are always made up lovely, I have been fortunate to stay in a few of the suites, last one being the bridal suite which was absolutely amazing. Sometimes I can be there for a few weeks at a time, I have always felt the staff were very hospitable which is reassuring when you’re away for a while in an area you’re not totally familiar with. I’d like to mention that Sharon and Michelle in particular are a credit to the hotel and have always been super welcoming!”

I had the truffle mushroom ravioli, and it was hands-down one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The marinara sauce tasted like it came straight from a Nonna’s kitchen, and the tiramisu? Divine. We also appreciated the thoughtful wine recommendations, which paired beautifully with our meal. From start to finish, everything felt authentic, elevated, and full of heart. This is more than just a restaurant — it’s an experience. Can’t wait to come back”
