“Fabulous B&B, stayed 2 nights for Kleznorth in Youlgreave could have stayed much long. Ken & Carol very friendly welcoming hosts. Had the place to ourselves, a real home from home. Location couldn't be better right in the centre of the village.”

“Well kept, well equipped, comfortable hostel in a beautiful spot. It was spotlessly clean, with a good sized kitchen including everything you'd need to prepare a meal for your group. The manager was welcoming and very helpful with good advice for walking routes from the doorstep to explore the Peak District.”

“Just had 5 days on Robin Hood with family travelling from West Stockwith to Clayworth. Stunning scenery, lovely people along the way on and off the canal. Great, patient instruction from Mark and Sharon who couldn't do enough to give you the confidence to set off on your own. Lovely well equipped boat, plenty of everything needed. Few pubs/eateries along the way. Can't recommend highly enough if you want a relaxing holiday away from it all. Thank you Mark and Sharon.”

“Just for the carvery Amazing price (£11.99 at time of writing), with very well cooked meats (pork, lamb, beef) and excellent extras. Cauliflower cheese and mash got best reception with our family. Super service, friendly staff and lovely setting. Other customers were really friendly too, so s great atmosphere. Unbelievable price for a jug of Pimm's too!! (See pics)”

“Truly excellent stay, great value for money the hotel is perfectly situated at the end of the high street so plenty of shops and places to eat nearby. The property is well maintained and beautifully clean. Retford is a cracking little town. Room came with a fan, only real downside is that the room was warm due to no air conditioning however we visited peak of summer.”

“We had our wedding in The Sherwood Suite On Friday 28th November We had the most fantastic day. Our coordinator Charlotte made sure every detail was perfect. Before the wedding we sent several emails to Charlotte changing things asking questions and nothing was too much trouble for her. The day went so lovely and smooth from the ceremony to the final evening buffet. All the team was so friendly and professional. All of the food was delicious we had so many good comments from our guests. Also a special mention to the DJ the music was perfect Can definitely recommend Wildes it was certainly a day to remember always Thank you so much Mr & Mrs Elizabeth & John Gash”

“Stopped off here for a night while driving from up north to down south. Really good hotel, staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and spacious. The bathroom was plenty large and the atmosphere of the hotel was very comfortable. Very good breakfast with a nice restaurant area. Great location with a Morrisons across the road, easy access to the motorway and Rotherham only a few minutes drive down the road. Really good price and value for money, especially if you sign up to the free Ibis/Accor membership for members prices. Would recommend!”

“Stayed here for one night . Everything you need for a budget stay. Location not central however staff very helpful . Rooms were great for the price Large rooms . Extra services ie hairdryer and ironing board . No bar and lift was broken didn't cause us an issue but as we on third floor would have been a problem if you had mobility issues Overall a good size room and clean Good value for money”

“Don't expect the Hilton. This is a charming little B&B with what you would call character. Room was clean and tidy. Fresh clean bed linen. Fresh clean towels. Tv and Tea and coffee making facilities, what else do you need for a one night stop over. Breakfast bar has enough to get you going in the morning. Staff very friendly and helpful on arrival they even booked us a taxi for the train station for the morning. Would definitely use again if returning to Hillsborough.”
