“This was such an amazing find! My partner found this beauty by mistake when we were looking at going out for food at lunch and it was even better than expected! The food was amazing, choice was good (I'm veggy so always a tiny issue at times) and absolutely delicious. The staff couldn't be more welcoming and could not do enough to help. Plus, the view of the planes and the runway was amazing along with earwigging on the members there which was so interesting. We'll definitely be back!”

“My partner and I visited this today, set next to a wonderful looking quarry, very picturesque, great trails to hike, and a decent array of places to eat and drink. I would have liked to have seen it at night as well and this is supposedly a wonder to behold. I am sure we will be revisiting again to see it all lit up.”

“I’ve been visiting The Grind for around three years now, and it’s hands down my favourite spot in Doncaster. The owner and staff are always so welcoming and lovely; nothing is ever too much trouble for them. The prices are really reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes and the quality of the food. And if you’re into cocktails, you’ll be spoilt for choice; their menu is huge, and every one I’ve tried has been delicious! Highly recommend!”

“I love this place and try to visit once a week. They’re only open Friday-Sunday but if you’re in Crookes it’s perfect for a late breakfast or lunch. Prices are fair and service is friendly and quick.”

Staff were warm and welcoming, prices and sheesha quality were good Comfortable seating and overall good experience, definitely come again and recommend. Felt abit cold before I entered as I was not in appropriate clothing for the lovely weather we had, that day, staff member brought a heater to me! Would encourage owner to change the photos on google of the building as it deserves alot more credit than what it currently has.”

“What can I say. We booked a table for two at short notice on Friday night. I went here a few years ago and enjoyed it so we thought we’d give it a try. The restaurant was extremely busy at an early hour; however we were seated at a table for four which gave us more space. The service was brilliant and the team leader or manager was really on it. The food was gorgeous. We only ordered 5 tapas between two and some desserts. We could have eaten a few more but what we had was exceptional. The place is very good for large parties as the food is good for sharing. Afterwards we went downstairs for a few drinks and listened to a live band. A perfect night in every way. Thanks to the entire staff and we will definitely return”

“Different. But in a good way. I mean what other bars have beer, pizza, board games, table tennis, arcade machines, projector screen for football and what looks like a mini cinema? There is a good atmosphere and a good crowd. Sits very well with the area it's in. Well worth a visit.”

“Wow! Not enough stars to rate this restaurant. To say they blew us away with customer service is an understatement. 3 of us booked in for breakfast & we mentioned it was a pre wedding breakfast for the Groom, Grooms father & Best man. We arrived to find the table set up specially for us with a boxed flower arrangement & card written to the groom from all the staff. It was a tear jerker. Irrespective of the fact only 3 of us had booked to attend, the management had taken the decision to go the extra mile knowing we couldn’t possibly eat or drink enough to pay for the flowers or maybe they’d just break even. We talked about how amazingly kind they’d been all day. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. I nearly forgot to tell you just how great the food was too! The best breakfast I’ve had for a few years also. They have freshly squeezed orange juice which was a treat you don’t often find. Super sausages & black pudding! The groom is vegan & Rondo caters as part of their standard offer a full vegan menu choice. Quite genuinely, it’s brilliant with awesome staff! Thank you all.”

“Enjoyed the roast dinner sitting outside in the sunshine one late April Sunday. Great pint of Landlord, too. Themed nights including Caribbean. Nice pub with contemporary decor that has kept some traditional features inside, with the added outside area having been created to a great standard. Bikes zooming past along Chesterfield Road a bit annoying but the food distracted from that. Choice of beef, chicken or gammon, large freshly made yorkies, cauliflower cheese, a massive boat of gravy and accompanying veg. Good portion.. although it needed to be at £16! I would mention more about the high price of a Sunday lunch here, was it not for the fact that it was blooming delicious!! Grandma's Bread and butter pudding to finish (bloody lovely Grandma) and a couple of pints of Rutland ale. Great pub and well positioned for local walks before or after to Ashover and beyond. Great food, Good beer selection, well placed to explore the area and make a day of it.”
