This 4 star hotel and it’s award winning restaurant, provides a smart and luxurious ambience for a memorable dining occasion. Perfect for a date night or special occasion amongst family & friends. It is just £65pp for this delicious, beautifully presented, fine-dining 7 course meal, or £100 with included wine pairings. Available every Thursday & Friday from 6:30pm – Booking is essential. The menu is set to change seasonally, however the menu that we tried is detailed below; *Canapes – Seared Foie Gras on toasted brioche with caramelised peach, Oyster with Guinness braised ox cheek & horseradish snow, Beef carpaccio with pickled strawberry * Beetroot & gin cured salmon gravlax,with textures of cucumber * Braised pork belly & cheek, textures of carrot, ginger & coriander * Champagne & elderflower sorbet * Roast duck breast confit leg croquettes, braised sweetheart cabbage and cherries * Trio of apple – Apple crumble tart, apple shot, apple & calvados crème brulee * Coffee/Tea & truffles Treating yourself to a dining experience like this will get you trying different tastes and textures that should introduce you to quality and locally-sourced ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed the food here, trying oysters for the first time – we didn’t dislike them, but not sure they’re one of our favourite foods haha (no fault of the restaurant of course)! We also really liked the pork, duck and of course the desserts, especially the apple crumble tart. We have a lovely evening, meeting some other fellow food lovers, and would hope to return to this beautiful hotel to experience much more of what it has to offer. My only gripe was paying £12 for a large wine and £6 for a bottle of water!!”

“Found this company via facebook I was hesitant at first on purchasing a Pulaski corner sofa & with being somewhere as far as the North East for a company as far as Sheffield. Nasir, the owner of the company, was accommodating. Since we were purchasing the sofa in advance, he was able to take full payment & hold the stock to one side to arrange delivery to our new home. The delivery drivers kept me informed, very well assembled & to go 140 miles for about £100. It was very reasonable. Got the sofa for £1,000 off the standard retail price & you could pretty much say it's close enough to brand new as you could get.”

“Dave and Scott delivered the bed and mattress to us. They were polite and both clean in appearance, which you don’t always get. They were both friendly, smiley and efficient. Before they left I was given an information card with both their names on and contact details for the aftercare team, if I needed it; which I don’t. The bed was delivered in good, sturdy packaging, was very easy to assemble and the handy screwdriver included is a great addition for my tool box (much better than another Allen key) From entering the showroom and speaking with Amanda (Doncaster branch Centurion retail park) to having the bed and mattress delivered was effortless, all the way from start to finish. I received the best customer service from Amanda instore, she wasn’t pushy at all and took her time to ensure we were happy before ordering. Amanda gave us correct information of delivery schedules and all went to plan without any hiccups or delays. The delivery team kept us updated via email and on the day Dave and Scott contacted me with a delivery time (which I could also track via the link in the email) My delivery arrived within the designated time slot. Fantastic, Bensons for Beds, you did exactly what you promised. Will definitely use again in the future.”

“I started getting Sunday dinners every so often during lockdown when we couldn't eat out. It was so nice to have a delicious home made Sunday dinner delivered. There was always a choice of meats and puddings at very reasonable prices and it was such a treat. Working from home and achieving this service for the local community should be commended. There is now still a high demand for dinners and we must appreciate that unlike bigger businesses she cannot serve all of us dinners in 20 locations bang on 12 noon so some flexibility is needed but the dinners are well worth it! Looking forward to the new shop opening in Old Whittington and trying some of her pies and cakes. The lemon cheese cake I ordered as a raffle prize last year was amazing.”
