“Ive used this Halfords twice in the last year. The first time my late father in law van had a timing belt issue and whilst we figured out as a family what we were doing Halfords were very patient and allowed the vehicle to stay on site due to it being inoperable, they also cut in half the diagnostic charge as they were unable to fix. Secondly took my own car down for a diagnostic, given reasonable information and advice but not charged as could not be specific for the cause. Appreciated that. Staff are friendly and understanding. “We decided to stop by The Big Smoke for lunch while out and called ahead to reserve a table. The staff were very accommodating, telling us we could arrive in 45 minutes, and upon arrival, they had already prepared a baby high chair, which was a thoughtful touch. The service was friendly and attentive throughout, with the team recommending the day’s specials and checking in on us regularly. Drinks arrived promptly within 5 minutes, though the mains took a little longer, it was nothing too concerning. Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience and would definitely visit again!”

“We are staying at this Premier Inn for a family holiday. The rooms are immaculate, fantastic setting, only a 10 minute walk into Matlock town centre. It's a lovely, quiet location. All of the staff have been amazing, nothing has been too much trouble. Tammy gave us a lovely welcome on arrival, Daniel has been fantastic helping us with a change of room (our fault on booking) The staff working on breakfast service and evening meals were fantastic. The breakfast choice is great. Zeb served us at breakfast and evening meal and both times, even though he was really busy, he was really polite and friendly. He really is a credit to the company, great level of service. I can highly recommend this Premier Inn and Matlock is a beautiful place to visit, plenty to see and explore.”

“My room was comfortable and clean. It had plenty of tea, coffee, etc. Had a smart tv and a decent shower. The ladies in the bar were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast the next morning was tasty and good value at £7.95 for a small, including a hot drink. A couple of minor negatives are. The hireable venue opposite may keep people awake for a while. It depends on how much of a light sleeper you are. Also, the room was really bright early in the morning.”

Wainwright is a name I have known all my life, from when the Wainwright family sold fuel and serviced cars on Clarence Street in Dinnington...good old times. Would recommend stopping by to use their conveniences anytime to anyone.”
