“Great local pub . Good selection of beers and spirits and not too badly priced . You pay less than a fiver for a premium pint which is pretty good in the times we are at !! They usually have so.e live entertainment on too, be it a vocalist, a disco or a karaoke . The pub has a pool table in a separate room which is easily accessible the other side of the pub. It's a great pub and a great atmosphere, it's also open late Friday and Saturday. Would reccomend”

“Amazing buffet and room for my Mums wake last Friday. Food all fresh and delicious, plenty of it at a great price too. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they were very attentive to our needs. All attendees commented on how nice the wake was. “There’s not many pubs left like the Nags Head, the locals don’t bite, good beer and reasonable prices. And if you’re really lucky you’ll get the chance to have the best chilli or chicken curry I’ve ever tasted for £4.50 eat in or they will even dish it into a reusable container to take away, so you can focus on the drinking. Give it a go it’s like pubs used to be and if you’ve got a 4 legged friend there’s free biscuits on the bar.”

“Daughter recommended this place so took her and my wife. They have a pretty good menu that caters for vegetarians as well, and the food did look very good. My daughter went for the curry platter, this was huge. My wife had the sizzling halloumi with sweet chilli sauce and I had the Barbacoa beef steak; these last two both came on the sizzling platters and they really were sizzling. The food was excellent. Really nicely presented and perfectly cooked. Way beyond my expectations. We also each had a sundae for dessert; salted caramel profiterole with chocolate ice cream, the Cadbury lover with chocolate ice cream and the lemon meringue. All came in large sundae glasses with loads of sauce and cream. Delightful meal, would recommend and will visit again.”
