“My wife and I visited here for our wedding anniversary and we loved it. The staff are really friendly and polite. The food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. We loved the little "Snug Room" we sat in. Very cosy! Would definitely recommend for a drink or meal. They have various specials on too, like curry night. Will be visiting again in the future!”

“Love this cafe - it has a nice upstairs area with more seating (including some comfy chairs and sofas). I have had sandwiches and oatcakes here in the past and both have been good. Tea is always really nice here - they have a loose leaf tea which is very good. The cakes are excellent too, definitely recommend. The only improvement I would make is to speed up the food service a little (not too much, doesn't need to be super fast), but the food service is very slow so you can't go there if you're in a hurry!”

“Turned up at noon on a Sunday having read some positive Google reviews. It didn't disappoint. Good for, excellent beer and reasonable prices. The only thing that was slightly disappointing was that it only had one Three Tuns beer on offer despite being next door to the brewery. Apparently they fell out in the early 2000's and are now a Heineken affiliated pub so most of the beers are standard affairs.”

“Farima was our waitress this evening, She was friendly and helpful with regards to our nut allergy needs. No task to hard checking ingredients for us. Aswell as taking us a photo together with our food. We've been a few times here and food is always exceptional and so are the staff. Warm and welcoming as always thankyou for a lovely night!”

“We had a really lovely birthday party here today for my 2 year old daughter. Alex and her mum couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly, and all round brilliant hosts. The children all loved the alpacas and really enjoyed feeding them. The farm is ideal for children, and the little cabin where we had our party lunch was cute and cosy! The children’s food was great quality and very generous. There was also hot drinks for the adults included. We absolutely loved our day and didn’t want to leave! A fun, interesting and outdoorsy children’s party with a difference - would totally recommend! “Ordered take away via Uber Eats, although not tracked, delivery was prompt and on time. Western burger, ingredients felt fresh, great size, really tasty(!!), enjoyed the sauce, really juicy - give the burger that nice taste without running and messing too much!! Mrs also really pleased with classic burger. I am not normally the kind of person to write reviews but these burgers deserve one! Would definitely order again.”

“A Saturday night with a difference but oh what a night ! We’re from Lichfield , our friends from Preston . We were all staying at Manor Hotel in Alsager and were discussing how we were going to spend Sat evening - stay in Hotel for a meal , book a restaurant in Alsager et al . I said what about a Northern Soul night at Verdin club ( I’d done a bit of pre planning! ) - bit of an expensive taxi journey but hey ho ( more of that later ) . We were all onside with that and all agreed that we’d get to Moulton first and eat there or Northwich. Taxi booked and off we go - the longest 18 mile cross country journey I’ve ever undertaken ( not sure if we ever managed an A road ) . Eventually stop right outside a decent looking pub in Moulton only to discover that they didn’t do food nor did the other pub in the village . We’d already had a few drinks and were starving by this time . The girls walked down to the Chinese and me and my mate headed over to the Verdin where we polished off 2 pies apiece. The music was wonderful as was the crowd in there - very friendly lot all round and many thanks for making us feel so welcome . Taxis there and back cost us £105 ( return was £60 up front !!) but , against that , where can four of you dine in such style for ”

The front of the pub might need some maintenance but once you’re inside, you’ll find a cosy, family-run pub with lovely, attentive staff and great views of the surrounding countryside. The Sunday carvery is generous with a variety of meats and a vegetarian option. There are also other non carvery options if you fancy something different. Overall an authentic choice for a quaint Sunday lunch!”
