“I thought it only fair to update this review after my wife bought a couple of bacon baps for us this morning. It's several months since our last visit. What a difference! The baps were large, soft and delicious. They were appropriately buttered. The bacon was of the highest quality, plentiful and perfectly cooked. The best I've ever had. While I was eating, seated on a bench in the square, a passer-by looked down at the exposed interior and said "very generous", referring to the amount of bacon. I could only agree. I bet the astronauts on the ISS were nodding in agreement too. It feels so good to write a review like this: from appalling to world class in one jump. CONGRATULATIONS CHATWINS! A great result. Long may it continue. .............................................. Original review: Bought a bacon bap, late afternoon. The bacon must have spent the whole day in a heated tray. It was hard as glass. Went back the following morning to complain and buy two more with the bacon straight out of the oven. These were excellent and we were given a refund. A bit shocked that they would sell something that was SO bad. I wouldn't have given the first one to a dog. Chatwins, please get your act together.”

I used to give then a call to check if the prescription was ready to collect but have seen recently they ask you not to do this as it wastes their time. Instead they ask to put the request in a week before you need to collect, then just go in and collect. Which I'll be doing from now on. They are always very polite, friendly, and helpful when I do call.”

“Lovely staff, lovely rooms, not super modern, but have everything. Stairs are a bit dated, but it totally suits the building, superbly clean. We would definitely stay here again, especially for the price. Ample car free parking. If you're a train enthusiast, this is a must! It's opposite the train station. We visited Stoke on Trent and Nantwich, and both 20 minutes drive away. There were many more places about it, but we only stayed 2 days. Near Tesco express, macdonalds and loads of food delivery places.”

Yes it's unfortunate when they close for lunch but everyone deserves a lunch and shouldn't receive abuse for a basic human right. Staff have NEVER served anyone I know or myself or family with any attitude but they won't take abuse from customers, which is very fair! Great staff not so great customers.”

She telephoned our local pharmacy when the "script was sent to the wrong place and got it released to Spine (NHS. prescription nationwide service) in order that she could prepare the 'script for us to collect. She returned a call when she said she would and made sure the item was available for dispensing immediately 'script had been released to Spine preventing any further delays. Well done Beth.”
