“Always been a great bar with great service and a wide selection of quality drinks but yesterday we hired the whole place for grandsons christening 120 people and I must say the service we received from Ben & his team was outstanding from start to finish, they had 3 bar staff on duty and they were none stop from the minute 120 of us walked through the door until we left, not once did you have to wait for a drink & we rang earlier in the week to see if they sold gluten free beer as I have celiac disease, to my amazement they had got a gluten free beer in especially which was the best gf beer I’ve ever had, very rare to find it in draft (which is like a restaurant not selling vegetarian food) but thanks to Ben & his team I could enjoy a decent drink. Thanks for everything guys!”

“Lovely little gastropub, we booked in advance for a Sunday evening meal but it was fairly quiet upon our 7:45pm arrival that we found we didn’t need to. We both decided on the roast dinner for main, was toying with getting a starter but decided against, I’m glad I did as the portion was very generous! Had a great selection of beers and wines too. Will definitely return if we are in the area.”

“A superb, stylish, cosy modern ambiance with warm, friendly and inviting staff. My Mum and Dad kindly took me there for a birthday meal and the entire experience was delightful. The menu was so good I found it extremely difficult to make a choice but when I did, the food arrived in a timely fashion and was absolutely delicious. They clearly have an excellent chef/team of chefs because the standard of the food really was excellent. Each course was of an exceptional quality and was certainly able to justify the price range. The white chocolate cookie dough with caramelised bananas, ice cream and toffee dessert was, in both mine and my Mum’s opinion, one of the best desserts we’d tasted in a long time. Truly divine. The staff were the epitome of professionalism, attentive and friendly; willing to engage in a bit of banter as well as providing excellent service. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. It’s well worth the money.”

“We were passing and called in for Sunday lunch. The food was superb, well cooked, large portions, beautifully presented and for a very reasonable price. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back.”

“Turned up with no booking. The staff promptly found us a table and served us drinks whilst we looked at the menu. We both had chicken roast dinner which was absolutely delicious. One of the best places I've visited for a roast all homemade and very substantial. Worth a visit if your passing through Nantwich”

“Called into the Oddies for a cheeky one. To find out they are having a mini refurb of the garden . New roof and floor on the Pergola with the fantastic addition of heating. My wife was so happy , a fatastic area outside to chill and chat with our friends , all while keeping warm for the nesh ones :-) We have visted on numerous occasions the food is exceptional , bar staff are very welcoming. This is a must visit for people new and old to the area.”

“What a delightful old pub in Nantwich. The food, the drink and wonderful ambience make this well worth a visit. Brimming with historic charm and a children's policy (over 12s only) which ensures a relaxing visit. I have to commend the landlord on enforcing this. Children are a blessing but I simply want to enjoy my downtime time in peace. To hear the crackle of the large open fire and conversation with my partner over a superb plate of food. “Fabulous country pub! We just spent a night here in our motorhome and would highly recommend the place. Food was excellent, atmosphere was vibrant, and the staff were polite and helpful. There's something for everyone here, family and dog friendly. Large car park, outside toilets for motorhome stopovers, and lots of space for vans, motorhomes, campers etc. Thank you for a great evening.”

My wife said the Aperol Spritz was the best she's had outside of Italy! Beer was good too. Great for families. Highly recommended.”

“Lovely little B&B, very very friendly and welcoming. Room was very clean and modern. Breakfast selection was good, choosing the day before of a variety of options - on top of that there was yoghurt, fruit, cereal and fruit juice available. The extra little touches such as fresh milk and muffins are the things that make an already good place a great place to stay!”

“Wonderful, wonderful bar. The DJ is out of this world!! Me and a couple of pals had dinner and drinks here on a Saturday night. I didn’t realise the place turns into a full blown nighty C after dark. Food was amazing, service too. But, the DJ was something else! Got chatting with the DJ who names himself ‘Joey the Axe’ (I think). He was brilliant. Read the room with his music, and was very very friendly. Played all of our requests without issue and made the night very special. Even gave me a lift home and walked me to my door!! I’ll never forget you Joey the Axe.”
