“Had a nice white chocolate mocha in a nice, chilled out location.”
“Rest Bay Cafe is a lovely spot to recharge. The view is amazing. Staff, despite being g very busy, we're pleasent and friendly. The beach is one of the nicest we have visited in south wales.”
“I've always found art galleries to be quite intimidating places, with aloof staff, and populated by pseudo-art experts. Not a bit of it with the Slate gallery. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and completely informal, and with a stunning array of pictures available for sale. I was fortunate enough to be shown around by the proprietor, Ceri Williams, who was patient, helpful and very accommodating. The artwork on sale showcases Ceri's amazing versatility - pastel-coloured beach scenes, worked in acrylics, local views over Swansea bay, with storm scenes that capture the anger and energy of the weather with her brilliant cloud-work, and ink drawings of dogs, which convey the motion and energy of their movement. After all this, and after buying 3 pictures, there is an opportunity to relax in there informal cafe and bar on the ground floor, populated by friendly local people. This is a unique gallery experience, and I'd recommend it to anybody, even if you only want to browse Ceri's remarkable works, and enjoy a coffee afterwards! Definite 5-star rating!”
“Had a lovely Sunday dinner from city cafe today. Our first time ordering and was not dissapointed. Really tasty homecooked turkey dinner with plenty of meat and veg. Will definitely be ordering again. Thankyou”

“Fabulous little caf, fabulous breakfast, extremely friendly and polite staff. Would highly recommend and also they are dog friendly. Great little gem!”
“Unbelievable food. You can really tell that the staff care about the quality of the food they serve. If you live in the area or are visiting, this is a must-try. Good energy in the kitchen and you can tell by the flavours! I’ve worked in food & wine industry for a good while and I was blown away by the food presentation, quality of ingredients, and the service. It was hard to choose what to order; luckily my table was keen to share lots of small plates. I would highly recommend sharing a few things. I will absolutely return to try more of the breakfast & daytime menu. Great wine options also. I was told that they update the menu regularly with seasonal ingredients so I’m very excited to keep visiting!”
“Dilly's provided an amazing finger food buffet for my mother-in-law's funeral. Arrived on time and excellent selection of options - lots of food too. We had many comments. Highly recommend.”
“The coffee was amazing, the barista was lovely and polite. he had an amazing knowledge of coffee in the region and around the world.”
“We have been coming here for about 2 years. The coffee is super tasty and amazing quality and I cannot describe how delicious the pork cobano is. The amount of meat you get in the sandwich is super generous. The other food also looks insane but we love the pork cobano and have to order it each time. Lovely staff here also, just a great place to eat and drink.”
“When I was growing up my mum used to take us here on our birthdays for a treat. I always had a Knickerbocker glory for pudding. This place fell off my radar for about 30ish years then though. So I was in Swansea and remembered this place and thought I'd try it out again. Well it didn't disappoint at all. The food, service and atmosphere are amazing. It took me back to being a kid again. It is now my favourite place to eat in Swansea.”
“This is a very clean well set out cafe which is excellent for snacks and hot drinks. The coffee is of a very high standard and the owner is friendly and efficient. If I'm in the area this is always my first choice and I highly recommend.”
“We ordered a lasagne dinner and it was absolutely brilliant. Heated it up in the oven and it tasted amazing. There was plenty for everyone. Service and communication was excellent.”
“Love this place. Can’t recommend it enough. The food is always stunning the staff are really friendly and it’s a lovely atmosphere there. Come regularly with my dad and we love it.”
“Very nice coffee shop with great food and cakes. Lovely staff xX. Recommend!”
“Coming as tourists, we were excited to try some good ol' Welsh fare. Stumbled upon Gershwins via Google and wolfed down a delightful "rarebit" ciabbata and excellent traditional Welsh breakfast. Great service and value too! Highly recommended for a nice brunch/lunch around swansea city centre.”
“Love this place, plenty of choice, all freshly cooked and mostly home cooked. Breakfast is one of the best, and homemade desserts. Staff are lovely, always welcoming as soon as you walk in.”
“Myself and 3 of my friends had Sunday morning coffee and desserts at this beautiful, authentic place. The service was great, all desserts were homemade. We all had mixed berries syllabub. It was divine! The owner and staff were friendly and accommodating. We were so lucky to discover this hidden gem ! Will definitely come back again.”
“We stopped for an early lunch during after our Sunday morning hike when we got very wet. We were made to feel very welcome from the start despite the drops & boots! Wonderful of lovely homemade food & cakes, great prices. Brilliant shop near door. Lovely owner & service! Just what we needed. Dai iawn mawr & dioloch yn fawr! Very good & thankyou very much!!!”
“I went to a group event held at this lovely friendly venue. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly. Food was well presented and tasty, arriving at the table quite speedily. The venue is warm, colourful and welcoming and it’s very handy to the train station. The management obviously went to great lengths to please the event organiser and attendees of the social event. Highly recommend!”
“Visited Tuesday and had delicious freshly made ice cream and roasted coffee. Was so good, returned next day for more. Lovely location, lovely staff with great ethos of customer service and friendliness. Would recommend to anyone on holiday in Mumbles or just on a walk or cycle ride along the prom. Great cafe.”
“I had a great breakfast on Monday morning here. Plenty of available tables around 10am, even ones to sit outside if you're brave enough to face the Welsh weather. The young staff were super friendly, I ordered the largest breakfast and it was no trouble to substitute one item that I don't like for an extra hash brown. The portions were large (just what I wanted!) it was everything a full English breakfast is expected to be from a traditional cafe. The complimentary cuppa goes a long way too, as many places charge extra for this lately. My only suggestion, I didn't see fried bread on the menu which isn't something I go for, but my friend who usually goes for breakfast with me will always ask for it (the staff were so obliging, I'm sure they'd fry some bread if requested) thanks for a great start to my week, guys”
“We've been here at least 10 times now and we've never once has bad food or bad service. The girl serving Saturday 12 midday on 27th October was just brilliant. A constant smile on her face, knew everything we asked, excellent manners and quick service. The teriyaki chicken my sister-in-law had,and she said it was really tasty and it came with some garden mushy peas and salad garnish with balsamic vinegar. I had the 3 bean chilli, and it was beautiful, and the mixed berry cheesecake was perfect.”
“We had delicious, hearty full breakfasts for a very reasonable price. Very good latte and cappuccino. The hot chocolate was beautiful, with colored marshmallows and whipped cream and was a huge hit with the kids. The service was very friendly. We even took home a couple of pieces of reasonably priced artwork from the large selection of local artists' work. Highly recommended!”
“Fantastic experience today at this venue with my husband and parents. The ambience of the place is excellent, it is spotlessly clean and the menu absolutely brilliantly put together. The quality of the food and presentation wonderful. We met Steve who has helped put the business together and he was so helpful and assisted in helping us to choose from the menu - which I must add we are going to work our way through! A fantastic new healthy Cafe which we are delighted is on our doorstep and which we will be returning to next week!”
“Visited on Easter Sunday. The food and coffee was excellent, time and effort had gone into making the chicken tikka baguette and it was delicious. Have to also mention the lady serving on her own, can imagine that can't be easy when it's busy, credit where credit is due what a job she was doing”
“A great, modestly sized coffee shop - with welcoming staff and great flat whites. We had a couple of toasted sandwiches whilst Zoey the dog enjoyed the warmth, and the view, from beneath our table. A small Mumbles treasure - we will break from our walk there again...”
“Was server by an amazing woman called Sharron, she was the sweetest and most understanding women. Everyone needs to visit there and order from her. She is a sweet heart and a very hard worker”
