“Lovely old canal side pub. Had an excellent meal here, food was fab & plentiful, staff were nice too. Total bill for 3 of us (Inc soft drinks) was less than £35. Will definitely go again next time I take the boat down there. Highly recommended!”

“I came to this school as a lad and I have to say I cannot get over the remodelling of the school it is superb! On an openday a few years back I could see just how good the facilities were and if you have a look at the website the pictures are superb! The school has had a dodgy few years in the past, but this, year I was presently surprised to see that not only is there a new head, but he appears to have improved the school very quickly. Recent results are more than promising!”

“Dropped in for Sunday Dinner, randomly as we were passing by, when we arrived at about 5:15 the barmaid said they were closing early (service usually ends at 6pm on a Sunday). It turned out the landlord had a family emergency to deal with. I thought fair enough and said no worries, we would go elsewhere. Anyway, the landlord insisted we stay and reopened the Carvery, it was lovely and the Staff were all very friendly and attentive. The food was nice and despite it being right at the end of service it still tasted fresh and delicious. The chef did us a fresh batch of Yorkies which were excellent.”
