“Love it here - always great ales, lovely service, no TV's or background football noise, just nice folks having having a chat with their pals, also usually at least a couple of dogs to say hello to, decent bar snacks and no/low alcohol options too”
“Had Sunday roast platter lunch with my family and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The service was superb with a warm, friendly welcome and undivided attention throughout - nothing was too much trouble. The timing of the meals was spot-on and the food was incredible - good-sized portions, very flavoursome, presented well and overall delicious. It was good value for money too and worth every penny and more. Will definitely be returning for another visit. Highly recommended”
“I had such a wonderful experience at Bella Italia! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Every dish tasted authentic and exceeded my expectations. What really made the visit stand out was the service. Madi and Destiny took care of us, and she was fantastic from start to finish. She was polite, attentive, and went out of her way to be helpful and accommodating, always with a warm smile. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality these days, but Madi made the whole dining experience extra special. I’ll definitely be coming back — both for the amazing food and the outstanding service. Highly recommend!”
“Always happy to fill up or shop here. Shop is always tidy and well stocked, food is always fresh looking, and staff are fabulously friendly and helpful.”
“We found this take out because our usual spot was closed & I’m glad we did because it’s the best chow mein in Wolverhampton! Delicious. The front of house is always very polite and friendly. Would recommend the honey, lemon and syrup ribs too!”
“What a lovely place this was. The service was exceptional. The server brought out the wine which we tasted before she poured full glasses and she placed the serviette on our laps. I service I havent received for years. The food was glorious, hot fresh and tasty. I couldn't fault it. If we lived here we would be in here all the time.”
“Amazing service . Taste is 100/100. You must try biriyani”
“Had the sizzler followed by saag paneer and vegetable curry mains with rice and garlic naan. Being from Leicester I’ve always found Lichfields curry establishments very average, in fact so average I rarely would eat in them. The new Heritage Indian is by far the best Indian in Lichfield and one I will without doubt be eating in on a regular basis.”
“Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Good prices too.”
“I am using tiffin service from last year and still continue. Am fully satisfied with quality and delivery services. The positive thing is that owner always calling us for feedback.”
“Go with an empty stomach and a big appetite! Everything about Efe's is a delight, from the friendly service, to the authentic flavours and emphasis on generous portions. I popped in for a late, solo lunch on a whim and wasn't disappointed. I'll be back!”
“A fantastic cosy and welcoming atmosphere with a great variety of beers, ales, ciders and spirits to choose from. Ample seating inside and out in the garden. Kids were welcome until 8pm. There was live music from a very talented local singer songwriter and both staff and customers were extremely friendly. Will definitely visit again soon!”
“Fantastic coffee, innovative flavours & thoughtful presentation - such a lovely place.”
“Nicky and John are just amazing and go out of their way to make everyone welcome. A great spot for a drink with the lovely locals. Great place, great people, great atmosphere, Not too forget a lovely cold stout! Love and Liquor ❤️”
“Fantastic food and really lovely people who own the cafe.”
“A cute little gem of a cafe to bring a little something to the village! Visited earlier this week as I’ve seen it advertised and thought I’d give it a shot, and what a treat it was!! Loved the cosy vibes upon entry, very friendly staff and an array of food options so you can try something new! The ladies on duty were super friendly and accommodating and made you feel very welcomed. The food was served and tasted beautifully and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend and will definitely be popping down again soon even if it’s a coffee to go!!”
“Love this place. It's now a community cafe with a revamped menu. Lots for vegans, vegetarians and non veggie meals. Also great coffee and cake, plus takeaway. Well organised, screens in place, gel available, tables cleaned after use. You may have to wait for a table, but it's worth it.”
“Interesting house. Nice gardens. Nice tea room. Good day out.”
“Really lovely food, and fast service.”
“Today was our first visit to this place and we were very impressed. Great menu and good prices. We both had breakfast and can't fault the food and friendly service. The kids menu also looks very good so we shall soon be back our little ones!”
“Stopped in on a whim with my husband today for lunch…from the moment we crossed the doorstep we felt welcome at Lychgate. We ordered the parsnip soup with brown bread and tea for two. The soup was amazing; a hint of ginger and the perfect consistency. Bread was also delicious…from a bakery in nearby Rudge. We took ginger and sticky apple toffee cake slices home for later…so glad we did! If you’re looking for a lovely dining experience or just a beverage, somewhere off the beaten path, this is the place for you. Easy to park near it, too! Enjoy! We will be back soon!”
“Food was lovely and fresh as a daisy! Lovely breakfast, cheap. Lovely clean cafe and the girls were lovely, definitely need to try the Sunday dinners!”
“An excellent restaurant! The prices are very reasonable and the choices from the menu are amazing, they have gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options, so there is definitely something for everyone. We had the four courses and thought the food was perfect. There's lots of choice for drinks too, non-alcoholic, wines, beers, spirits and cocktails. The restaurant has a very friendly and warm atmosphere, so this is a great place for a date, meal with a friend or to celebrate a birthday or anniversary.”
“Have been here a few times for a decent sandwich at lunch time. Got a fresh counter to pick from, bread pudding, sausage rolls, cooked breakfasts, samosas, chilled soft drinks it’s got everything you need. The staff are beyond lovely here, all local and really make you feel like you’re popping to see a member of the family, it’s really nice. Place gets pretty busy fast and then goes quiet again, very unpredictable but worth the wait. On street parking is a nightmare at times, busy bit of road so be mindful of that.”
“My wife and I made our first visit to 'The Stump' ( Mount Pleasant) since the 1980's . After a recommendation on Facebook we decided to call in for a late night drink after playing Bridge. The Mount Pleasant is open until 23:00 and serves until 22:45 . We had checked on the Real Ale Finder site that the Mount Pleasant regularly updates and found that they had an interesting Abbeydale Hazelnut and Coffee Stout on. They regularly change 9 of the real ales that they have on offer and a chalk board lists the beers and prices . The Mount Pleasant has a long ( thin) layout with a car park ( also long and thin on its right hand side ) . We accessed the pub via a rear door from the car park . A covered smoking deck is at the back then the single door access ( with a single step) leafs into a corridor that runs the length of the pub with single doorways to enter the front and rear bar rooms . The pub was warm and friendly with a group of people at another table enjoying snack type food . We had a half of the Abbeydale Stout and were pleasantly surprised by the price of only £3.90 for a pint of this 5.2% strength Stout. We enjoyed it so much we squeezed in another half before closing time . The service was friendly and when I mentioned that the last time we visited the Mount Pleasant was in the 1980's the landlady jokingly replied that she was not even born then. It is not surprising that The Mount Pleasant is in the 2025 Camra Good Beer Guide . We both enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend The Stump as a 'must visit ' if you are in the area .”
“Really, really enjoyed our lunch here. Everything was spot on - except I did hit my head on the low doorway! Food was very good, service was friendly and personable. Definitely recommend.”
“The women were lovely so friendly and cafe is hands down the best around. Highly recommend”
“Place full of characters and cold beer just want a marine boat club should be, plus friendly staff couldn't ask for more.”
“Been going to the village cafe for over 5yrs now regularly. Sometimes nearly every day of the week! Staff are friendly and chatty! Food always tastes great and is very reasonably priced! Highly recommend! You won’t be disappointed!!”
