“The Platform is situated on the South Staffordshire Railway Walk. The walk itself is well worth a few hours in lovely countryside. The walk is tarmac surface most of the way. The Platform Cafe is situated by Womborne, nr Wolverhapton. The cafe is the converted Station. There is car parking available free of charge. The Platform has been lovingly restored and the cafe is well worth a visit. Good menu and selection of cakes. There is seating inside and out, dogs are welcome outside. The staff are really friendly and there is a great atmosphere in the cafe. Both the walk and cafe are definately worth visiting. We will return.”

Stephen was so understanding to our situation and spoke with us a few times prior to check exactly what we would like. The Whimsey supplied all the catering which consisted of soup & sandwiches, curry & rice, also tea & coffee, at a very reasonable price. We had the whole pub to ourselves from 1-3pm, until he opened, however we could stay as long as we liked. We would like to thank Stephen and all at the Whimsey for making this day so special. We totally recommend this venue for any family events”
